Bauble Bimble

Bauble Bimble takes place at Ferry Meadows in Nene Park, near Peterborough. The event uses a multi‑terrain lap through forest and parkland with gravel footpaths and some grass areas. The lap distance is 5.3 km.

The event is offered in timed formats of either four hours or six hours. Competitors run as far as they can within the chosen time and may continue for an additional lap if they leave the base camp before the event cut off. Runners may rest between laps and return to the course when ready.

Standard lap counts are used as a guide for common distances, with options to change lap targets on the day:

  • 5k
  • 10k
  • Half marathon
  • Full marathon
  • Ultra marathon

Race HQ and the lap point are at the start area and include a water and aid station that is available each lap. Registration is located near the main toilet block and the event arch and gazebos are visible from the toilets and parking payment machines. Parking at the park is chargeable. The organiser recommends road trainers but suggests trail shoes if recent weather makes surfaces slippery. The event is cupless so participants should bring their own bottle or cup for refilling. A bespoke event medal is provided unless the alternative finisher medal option was chosen. Virtual entries for the medal are available.
