The Bauble Bimble takes place at Ferry Meadows in Peterborough, a large country park situated within Nene Park. The event utilizes a 5.3 km lap format on a multi-terrain course consisting of park footpaths, some trail areas, and grass sections. Participants can choose to complete as many or as few laps as they wish within the designated time limit.
The event structure offers a choice between a 6-hour or a 4-hour time limit. Runners are permitted to start a final lap as long as they depart from the base camp before the clock expires. Because of the flexible lap system, participants can target various distances, including:
- 5 km
- 10 km
- Half Marathon
- Full Marathon
- Ultra-Marathon
The base camp serves as the race headquarters and includes an aid station with water, located at the start and lap point. The course is designed for straightforward logistics with minimal navigation required. While road trainers are often suitable for the footpaths, trail shoes are suggested depending on weather conditions. Participants receive a bespoke commemorative medal upon completion, or may opt for a medal from a previous event.
