Bauble Bimble at Ferry Meadows

Bauble Bimble is a timed multi-hour running event set within Ferry Meadows, a large country park in Nene Park located less than three miles from Peterborough city centre. The route uses a 5.3 km lap through forested areas, consisting mainly of gravel footpaths and some grass, creating a multi-terrain course.

Participants choose a four or six hour format and run as many laps as they can within that duration; an additional lap may be permitted if the runner leaves the Base Camp before the event cut-off. The event layout places the Race HQ and Base Camp at the start and lap point, with an aid station available every lap. The course requires no navigation and no mandatory kit.

Standard lap counts given for common distances:

  • 5.3 km lap on gravel footpaths and grass.
  • Heavy half marathon: standard 5 laps; option for 6 or 7.
  • Ultra marathon: standard 9 laps; possible increase up to 12.

Parking at Ferry Meadows is chargeable. Race facilities are located near the main toilet block where the race arch, gazebos and registration sign are visible; bibs are collected at race registration. A bespoke finisher medal is supplied for the event, with a non-specific finisher medal available as an alternative. The event is cupless, so runners should bring their own bottle or cup. Virtual entries for the medal are offered for those unable to attend in person. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
