Bauble Bimble

Bauble Bimble is a multi-lap running event held at Ferry Meadows in Nene Park, located less than three miles from Peterborough city centre. The event uses a 5.3 km lap that runs through forested areas on gravel footpaths and some grass, creating a multi-terrain course.

The event is offered as a timed challenge in two durations, during which participants run as far as they can on repeated laps. Runners may rest between laps and may start an additional lap if they leave Base Camp before the event cut-off. A water and aid station is available at the Race HQ/Base Camp at the start and lap point.

Standard lap counts are provided as a reference: a heavy half marathon is listed as five laps with the option to change to six or seven on the day; an ultra marathon is listed as nine laps with options to increase, for example up to twelve laps depending on time available.

Practical details: parking at the park is chargeable and the race arch and gazebos are sited near the main toilet block and parking payment machines. Road trainers are suggested though trail shoes may be useful depending on conditions. The event is cupless so participants should bring their own bottle or cup. A bespoke event medal is supplied unless the non-specific finisher medal option is chosen. Virtual places are available. Entrants must be 18 or over. Entry fees range from £35 to £38. Fancy dress is welcomed but not required. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
