Halloween-Themed Night Run at Irchester Country Park

The Irchester Spooktacular is a night-time running event held on the woodland trails and tracks of Irchester Country Park. Participants navigate a course marked and marshaled by volunteers in Halloween-themed costumes. The event emphasizes a festive atmosphere where fancy dress is encouraged for all runners.

There are two distinct distances available for participants:

• 5k race
• 2k Family Fun Run

The routes consist primarily of hard-packed tracks, making the surface suitable for both road and trail shoes. Since the event takes place after dark, all participants are required to carry a head torch or a small handheld torch. First aid services are stationed at the start and finish areas, with the ability to access runners across the park if necessary.

Registration and number collection take place at the Royal Meadow, which also serves as the starting point for both distances. The races conclude at the Little Meadow within the park. Participants receive a themed medal and a selection of Halloween-themed chocolates upon completion. Digital event photos are provided to runners free of charge following the event.

Entry requirements include a minimum age of 11 years for the 5k and 4 years for the 2k. Children under the age of 11 must be accompanied by an adult. Parking is available on-site at Irchester Country Park, subject to standard parking fees. The event also supports local food banks through optional donations during the entry process.
