Irchester Spooktacular

Irchester Spooktacular is a Halloween‑themed night running event at Irchester Country Park on Friday 30 October 2026. The event uses established woodland trails and tracks with two fully marked and marshaled routes staffed by themed marshals.

  • 5k race
  • 2k family fun run

Entry fees are listed as £20 for the 5k and £12 for the 2k. Each entry includes a finishers medal, free event photos and a bag of Halloween‑themed chocolates. Minimum ages on race day are 11 years for the 5k and 4 years for the 2k; children under 11 must be accompanied by a responsible adult. Entries and transfers close seven days before the event.

Registration and race points are on the Royal Meadow and Little Meadow within Irchester Country Park. Parking is available at the park but parking fees apply. The course surface is mostly hard packed track and is suitable for road or trail shoes. The event notes that, because it is held after dark, participants should have a head torch or small handheld torch.

Event support includes professional first aid with access across the park and volunteers on course in themed dress. All finishers receive an event medal and there are prizes for the top three male and female finishers in the 5k. The event will offer entrants the opportunity to make charitable donations to local foodbanks. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
