Irchester Spooktacular is a Halloween-themed night-time run at Irchester Country Park, scheduled for Friday 30th October 2026 (date TBC). The event offers two distances:

  • 5k
  • 2k Family Fun Run

Routes use woodland trails and tracks within the park. Fancy dress is encouraged. The course will be fully marked and marshaled by themed marshals. All participants receive a finishers medal, a bag of Halloween-themed chocolates, and free event photos. Prizes will be awarded to the top three male and top three female finishers in the 5k.

Entries, logistics and support

Online entry prices are listed as £20 for the 5k and £10 for the 2k. Minimum ages are 11 years for the 5k and 4 years for the 2k; children under 11 must be accompanied by a responsible adult. Entries and transfers close seven days before the event. Registration is based on the Royal Meadow; both runs start on the Royal Meadow and finish on the Little Meadow. Parking is available at Irchester Country Park, but parking fees apply.

Professional first aid will be available at the start and finish with access across the park. Race volunteers will be on the course. The surface is mostly hard packed track and is suitable for road or trail shoes. Because the event is held at night, participants are advised to bring a head torch or small handheld torch.
