Irchester Spooktacular

Irchester Spooktacular is a Halloween-themed night-time running event held at Irchester Country Park. The event offers the following distances:

  • 5k race, minimum age 11 years
  • 2k Family Fun Run, minimum age 4 years

Both routes run on established woodland trails and tracks within the park. Courses will be fully marked and marshaled by volunteers in costume, and fancy dress is encouraged. Start and finish take place within the park meadows.

Entry includes a finishers medal for all participants, free digital event photos, and a bag of Halloween-themed chocolates. Children under 11 years old must be accompanied by a responsible adult. Entries and transfers close seven days before the event.

Event safety and support include professional first aid positioned at the start and finish with access across the park, plus Race Harborough volunteers on the course. The surface is mostly hard packed track and is suitable for road or trail shoes. Because the event takes place after dark, participants should bring a head torch or a small handheld torch.

Parking is available at Irchester Country Park; parking fees apply. The event’s charity focus for 2026 includes support for local foodbank organisations, and entrants will be given the opportunity to make a donation. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
