Wyre Forest Festive Trail Runs - 13 December 2026

The Wyre Forest Festive Trail Runs are organised by Wild Deer Events at Wyre Forest, Callow Hill, Bewdley, Worcestershire DY14 9XQ. The event offers short trail distances set within a large ancient oak woodland.

Distances and age suitability:

  • Family 1 Mile Run: children aged 3–14, accompanying adult runs free.
  • 5km Trail Run: suitable for ages 11 and above; canicross allowed.
  • 10km Trail Run: suitable for ages 15 and above; canicross allowed.

Route maps for the 10km, 5km and 1 Mile routes are listed as to be confirmed. For canicross entries, one well controlled dog per runner is permitted in the 5km and 10km events. The Family 1 Mile is not canicross friendly.

Finishers in the 5km and 10km events receive an event medal, Wild Deer merchandise, mince pies and chocolates, and drinks. Family 1 Mile finishers receive an event medal, a drink, and a selection box.

An annual off road event at Cannock Chase featuring a chip timed five mile race and a two mile fun run with medals, age and team prizes, and a cash award for course records.

A short pairs race on Haddon Hill in Carding Mill Valley where one runner sprints to the top, tags a partner, and the partner runs back down. Entries are on the day only at £10 per pair and the minimum age is over 12.

An obstacle 5k at Worcester Racecourse on 18 July 2026 with mixed grass and pavement sections. Participants must be 13 or older, there is a £50 minimum fundraising target, and onsite facilities include toilets and refreshments.

Trail races of 10 mile and 5 mile in Aymestrey on 19 July 2026, with a climb to the Iron Age hillfort at Croft Ambrey. Routes are fully marked and marshalled with water stations, on the day entries if capacity and a juniors 2 km race.
