The Salcey Forest Christmas race is a trail running event at Salcey Forest, Wootton Road, Northampton, NN7 2HX. The course uses tree-lined forest paths and is described as mixed terrain that is virtually flat but can be muddy. Seasonal fancy dress is permitted and a prize is awarded for the best seasonal outfit. The event raises funds for Shelter, an organisation that supports people experiencing or at risk of homelessness.

The 5k course is one lap and the 10k is two laps. Detailed route maps and GPX files are available for download. Included for entrants are a bespoke medal, free photographs, and trophies and prizes for leading runners. Discounted parking is available for runners; the parking charge is £3.50 and covers parking for two hours from the start of the race. There are no nearby train stations, but there are bus stops in Hartwell close to the venue. On-the-day entry fees, subject to availability, are listed as: 10k £30, 5k £25, Junior Run £7.
