Trail Running calendar near Loftus 2026-2027

Two junior races in Upper Denby on Monday 31 August 2026, organised by Denby Village Conservation Group. Marked trail courses, medals for category winners, ice cream for finishers and music with stalls at The George Inn.

A short but steep fell race held during Kilnsey Show on 1 September 2026, featuring a rope-assisted rock chimney descent for seniors, junior crag races with scree descents, limited pre-entry for seniors and specific footwear requirements.

Muker Show Fell Race is a short fell course that crosses a river and climbs to Fremington Edge, about 2.25 km with 170 m of climb. It includes youth categories, has no Under 9s class and counts for the BOFRA Senior Championship.

A seaside trail run from Hornsea on an out and back Trans Pennine Trail route. Multiple distances from 10 km to marathon, with feed stations every three miles, marshals, on-course signage and a finisher medal.

A trail half marathon in Malham village on 5 September 2026, featuring Malham Cove, Malham Tarn and a climb to Weets Top as the opening race of the Due North Trilogy.

A 23 miles LDWA challenge in Malhamdale from Gargrave Village Hall with checkpoints, refreshments and a nine hour time limit; entries limited to 200.

A 31.5 km fell race from Ingleton around the watershed of two rivers with 1580 m of ascent, visiting Yorkshire, Lancashire and Cumbria. The course is an FRA A-Long and requires experienced navigation on open fell terrain.

A community fell race at Blackshaw Head on 5 September 2026 covering 8.9 km with 274 m ascent. Entry on the day, limited to 150 runners, fee £6; minimum age 18 and mandatory kit requirements apply.

A short fell race in Burnsall on 6 September 2026 with a 1.50 mile route and about 240 m of climb across fields, heather and a summit section. Parking is usually in a nearby field for a small charge.

Scenic trail runs in Tibthorpe, Driffield offering 4 miles and 8 miles routes for runners and canicross participants. Chipped timing, medals, prizes, dog awards, parking, toilets and post race food are provided.

Experience the scenic trails of East Yorkshire with or without a canine companion. This event offers 4 and 8 mile chipped trail runs starting from Field House Coffee Barn with medals for all finishers.

Enjoy a Peak District fell race at Oxspring Playing Field, a punchy 6.2 km course with 190 m of ascent through scenic terrain. On the day entries welcome for a modest fee and the event is part of an eight race series.

A 17.1 km out and back fell race in Upper Teesdale, running alongside the River Tees and starting and finishing at Holwick with about 560 m of ascent.

An outdoor military style obstacle event in Gisburn offering Classic 12 km and Rookie 6 km courses plus a competitive Elite 12 km race with age limits, finisher items, water stops, food and spectator parking.

A 13 km marked trail race around Crosby Garrett with 400 m of ascent and views across the Eden and Lune valleys. Junior races run for ages U7 to U17 with on the day entry and separate junior fee.

A 50 mile circular ultramarathon through the Lincolnshire Wolds starting from Swallow Village Hall. The course gains about 1,370 m of elevation, features four aid stations, an 18 hour cut off and limited entry for 150 runners.
