Ingleton Three Counties Fell Race
The event starts and finishes in the Yorkshire Dales village of Ingleton, with the assembly point at Mealbank Hall, Oddies Lane, Ingleton LA6 3ER. The route follows a high-level circuit around the watershed of the two rivers that meet at Ingleton, visiting Lancashire’s highest point, crossing into Cumbria and returning to Yorkshire via landmarks such as Gragareth, Green Hill, the Whernside trigpoint, Ribblehead, Park Fell and Ingleborough.
The course distance is 31.5 km / 19.5 miles with 1580 m / 5184 ft of ascent and is registered with the Fell Runners Association as an A-Long event. Terrain includes rough open fell, boggy fell-top sections, a steep ascent to the Whernside trigpoint and a wild descent to Ribblehead, followed by extended high-level ridge running.
All competitors must be experienced in navigating arduous open fell terrain in variable UK weather. Recce of the route is not permitted in some sections because they are not on open access land. The minimum age for entry is 18.
Entries open 1 June 2026 and close 1 September 2026. Entry fees listed are £15 for FRA members and £16 for non-members. Parking is available at Ingleton Waterfalls, Broadwood Entrance LA6 3ET with a stated fee of £4 cash; this does not include entry to the Waterfalls walk.
