Ingleton Three Counties Fell Race

Starting and finishing in the Yorkshire Dales village of Ingleton, the race follows a high-level route around the watershed of the two rivers that converge there. The course covers 31.5 km / 19.5 miles with 1580 m / 5184 ft of ascent and is registered with the Fell Runners Association as an A-Long event.

The route begins at Mealbank Hall, Oddies Lane, Ingleton, LA6 3ER, and passes through Kingsdale to the first control at Gragareth. It continues along boggy fell-top ridges toward Green Hill, crosses into Cumbria, then climbs to the Whernside trigpoint. A descent to Ribblehead is followed by high-level running to Ingleborough via Park Fell before returning to Ingleton.

All competitors must be experienced in navigating arduous open fell terrain and coping with unpredictable UK weather. The event has a minimum age of 18 years. Recceing the route is not permitted where parts are not on open access land.

Practical information includes registration at Mealbank Hall and parking at Ingleton Waterfalls, Broadwood Entrance, LA6 3ET (charge £4 cash). Toilets are available at the falls car park and at registration. Entry fees are listed for FRA members and non-members. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
