Trail Running calendar near Langdale End 2026-2027

An evening team relay at Derwenthaugh Country Park on 16 July, run by Derwent Valley Running Club. Teams of three, age 16 plus, must include at least one male and one female; entry is £18 per team and parking is limited.

A 26 km trail Metric Marathon starting and finishing in Hebden Bridge, running out to Stoodley Pike and back. The course is waymarked with marshals, a halfway checkpoint, a water station at the turnaround and baggage storage; all finishers..

A 10 km trail race at Northumberlandia near Cramlington that uses the landform and surrounding countryside. Mixed terrain, a water station, a childrens fun run and an event village with café and stalls are included.

A fell race in Ingleton during the village Gala on 18 July 2026. The **11 km** course climbs to the summit of Ingleborough via a public footpath and returns to the gala field, and is held under FRA rules with mandatory kit checks.

A 50 mile, 5,500 ft circuit across Wensleydale and Swaledale including Great Shunner Fell, to be completed in 22 hours. Entry is by SI Entries only, limited to 250 places, and electronic trackers are mandatory.

An overnight 12 hour running event around Wath Manvers Lake on a flat 3.21 Mile circuit. The clubhouse on course provides toilets, showers, food and bag drop and camping is available for an extra fee.

A Category BM fell race in Calderbrook on 18 July 2026, covering 12.9 km with 610 m of ascent. The event includes team prizes, parking at Stansfield Estate Playing Fields and refreshments at the church.

A short fell race near Cracoe on Sunday 19 July 2026 covering 2.60 miles with about 900 feet of climb. The route crosses fields, includes a trailer and a wall to climb, rough ground and a final steep ascent.

A single lap 10 kilometre multi terrain race along the River Ouse and through Hook with chip timing, commemorative T shirt option and facilities at Westfield Banks Sports Complex.

A remote trail half marathon on the Pennine Way around Bowes, passing Bowes Castle, Blackton Reservoir and Goldsborough Carr. The exposed route includes boggy sections, tree roots and a stream crossing, and minimum kit is required.

Flat two-lap 5 mile trail race at Ashington Community Woods with traffic-free paths, limited to 125 runners. Finishers receive a gift and chocolate and £1 of each fee supports Friends of the Woods.

A mid-summer fell race in Ravenscar covering about 10 km with 250 m of climb, held at the Ravenscar tea rooms. Entry is on the day with modest fees, team competition and FRA permit insurance in place.

An evening trail event at Aske Hall near Richmond featuring 5km, 10km and a 5km walk across pasture, farm tracks and woodland. The single lap course is marked and may be muddy; basic facilities and a water station are provided.

Trails event at Aske Hall on 23 July 2026 with 5km and 10km routes across parkland and woodland. Walkers may enter the 5km and finishers food and an optional coaster medal are available.

Evening pop up races at Cromwell Bottom Nature Reserve on 23 July 2026 feature 5k and 10k routes, on site parking, food and a finisher jumble medal. Payment is accepted on the day or online.

A new trail 10k around Clowbridge Reservoir and the Pennine Bridleway with 175m ascent. The route is marked and marshalled; entries via SiEntries, minimum age 15 and a £10 fee. Proceeds support local causes.

A Friday evening *10 km* trail race at RSPB St Aidan's Country Park near Leeds, run over one mainly flat lap on public footpaths and bridleways. Entries are limited to 300 because of parking and environmental considerations.

The Punk Panther Takes the Hindmost will take place in Otley on Saturday 25 July 2026.

A 54 km circular trail around the Yorkshire Wolds starting and ending near Pocklington, with about 4,100 ft of climb and visits to several villages. The event includes GPX navigation, live tracking and four checkpoints with food and toilets..

A six-hour lap challenge in Skellingthorpe on tarmac paths along an old railway, offering distances from 5 km to ultra with on-course drinks, food, parking and finishers' medal and goody bag.
