Stately Trails: Aske Hall

Stately Trails at Constable Burton Hall takes place on 23 July 2026 on the private grounds of Aske Hall. The estate is a Georgian country house with parkland attributed to Capability Brown. Features of the grounds include a converted John Carr stable block that became a chapel in Victorian times, a Gothic style folly by Daniel Garrett circa 1745, a coach house, walled garden, terraced garden and a lake with a Roman style temple.

The event offers trail courses across pasture fields, farm tracks and through woodland. Courses are fully marked and the underfoot surface may be muddy. Walkers may enter the 5km event. Minimum ages are 13 years for the 5km events and 16 years for the 10km event.

Two route options across the Yorkshire Dales from Cracoe Village Hall for walkers and runners, with staffed checkpoints and a finish meal. Entries are limited to 125 and a waiting list operates when the event fills.

A short but demanding fell race on Ilkley Moor covering 8 km with 401 m of ascent, held under FRA rules. Pre-entry and limited on-day places are available, entry fees start at £8 and the event has a 400 runner limit.
