Trail Running calendar near Knettishall 2026-2027

Third race of the Forest Five mile series on 1 August 2026, held as Orion Harriers' ELVIS fixture. The event awards individual and team trophies and offers a discounted series rate with age-category aggregate prizes.

A family-oriented summer evening at Roarr! Dinosaur Adventure with a 2.5 km junior race, a 5 km race, and a 100 m Diddy Dash for under-6s; chip timing, bespoke medals, trophies, refreshments and spectator access.

The Stopsley Trail Race on Sunday 9 August 2026 offers 5K, 5 miles and 10 miles on scenic undulating trails along the Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire border. Entries include chip timing, bespoke medals, free photos and participant goodies.

A summer charity trail in Cold Norton on 9 August 2026 offering 10 km and half marathon routes across grass, tracks and paths. Proceeds support Farleigh Hospice and entries close 31 July 2026.

A trail ultra based at Winwick Hall with 50k and 100k options following the Harborough Round through Market Harborough countryside. GPX files, guided recces, staffed checkpoints and a defined mandatory kit list support competitors.

A guided 10 km trail run through the Chiltern Hills, followed by a brewery tour and tasting at Tring Brewery. Pizza is available afterwards in the Piggeries beer garden and participants receive trail coaching and bag storage.

Dirty Day is a Rat Race special-edition obstacle event at Forest Facility near Stamford, featuring a 4 mile loop with about 60 obstacles, family and extended lap options, extra adventure activities, and proceeds supporting rainforest conser..

Trail event on 16 August 2026 offering a competitive 15 mile run and a timed 15 km social hike. Over 18s only; starters receive a vest or T shirt and finishers get a medal and a free drink.

A 22 mile guided trail run from North Walsham to Cromer on the Norfolk Coast. The route follows the Paston Way and passes places linked to the Paston family; organiser ESCAPE trails lists the price as £28.

A self navigation trail event along the Colne Valley Path with marathon and half marathon distances, stocked aid stations, cupless arrangements, a pre-race shuttle and optional medal choices.

Summer community races of 5 km and 10 km from Whitwell and Reepham Railway Station along Marriott's Way, with medals for finishers and fundraising for Keeping Abreast Breast Cancer Reconstruction Support Charity. The races are not timed.

A *10 km* trail run on 23 August 2026 over the original, mostly anti-clockwise course. Entry includes a limited edition event T-shirt and finishers’ coffee and cake; race numbers and mobile phone ICE are required.

A trail half marathon across the Dunstable Downs on 23 August 2026, starting from Creasey Park in Dunstable. The self navigated route includes checkpoints, guide runners and a GPX file and offers on site facilities and a finisher medal.

A Backyard Ultra style 12 hour event at Cadwell Park where runners complete a 6.7 km lap each hour for a potential total of 80.4 km. Categories include solo and pairs plus a six hour non competitive option.

A last person standing backyard ultra at Gosfield School in Essex where runners repeat a 4.167 mile loop each hour until one remains. Onsite camping, showers and a small aid station are available for participants.

A six hour looped trail event in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty with an approximate 5.45 km loop and 71 m elevation per lap. Runners choose how many laps to complete and finishers receive a custom medal.

Take on the Muntjac 15, a 15 mile trail around Danbury Essex with 1600 ft of climbing across scenic woodland and technical singletrack. Enjoy a well stocked checkpoint, a quality memento and bespoke local trophies.
