Kent Downs 50 Ultra Challenge

The event is based at a weekend basecamp near Maidstone in the Kent Downs. The main route is a 50 km loop that travels anticlockwise on the North Downs Way to Blue Bell Hill, follows the River Medway to Mote Park at the halfway point for a picnic, then continues along the Len Valley Walk to Leeds Castle before returning to the show-ground finish area.

The route is fully signed with pink arrows and glow-sticks at night, and GPS maps are available in the event app. Rest stops appear approximately every 12.5 km, with major covered stops every 25 km; stops include seating, toilets, medical support, changing areas and catering with hot drinks, water and energy drinks. A picnic lunch is provided at 25 km. Medical staff, podiatrists and massage therapists are available at rest stops and along the route.

Basecamp offers camping packages and pitch your own options, with hot showers and drinks stations. Event services include shuttle buses and transfers to nearby stations and parking at the finish. An inflatable obstacle course at Brands Hatch on 16 May 2026 offering laps of a 2.5 km circuit with 2.5 km, 5 km, 10 km and 15 km options, music zones, water stations and a finisher medal.

Race for Life Brentwood at Weald Country Park on 16 May 2026 offers 3k, 5k and a double lap 10k across grass and woodland trails. The event is chip timed and carries a minimum fundraising target of £50.

Experience an annual five mile off road run through the scenic Little Haven Nature Reserve. This trail race features woodland paths and spring meadows while raising funds for local hospice care.

Mud Monsters Run on 17 May 2026 in East Grinstead is a muddy obstacle event with 3 km, 5 km and 10 km routes through fields, woods and river crossings. Finishers get a medal and free photos; onsite parking costs £5.
