Kent Downs 50 Ultra Challenge

The Kent Downs 50 Ultra Challenge is an outdoor trail event held on Sat 10 Oct 2026 with basecamp near Maidstone in Kent. The event offers looped route options and weekend camping, parking, transfers and onsite food and drink.

The main 50 km route runs anticlockwise around the Kent Downs, using sections of the North Downs Way to Blue Bell Hill, following the River Medway to Mote Park at the halfway point for a picnic, then along the Len Valley Walk to Leeds Castle before returning to a show-ground finish line. There are marquee rest stops about every 12.5 km and major covered stops every 25 km.

Event support includes covered rest stop infrastructure with catering, medical teams, podiatrists and masseuses, a timing system that scans progress at rest stops, GPS tracking via an event app, and staffed control. Camping packages include hot showers and drink stations. Additional on-site services noted for the event are a bar, solo start option, Ultra March option and a Trailblazerz option.

Finish-line provisions include a medal, finisher's t shirt, a glass of fizz and a meal back at basecamp. Shuttle buses operate to and from the nearest train station and there is space for supporter parking. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
