Kent Downs 50 Ultra Challenge

The event is based at a weekend basecamp near Maidstone in the Kent Downs. The main route is a 50 km loop that travels anticlockwise on the North Downs Way to Blue Bell Hill, follows the River Medway to Mote Park at the halfway point for a picnic, then continues along the Len Valley Walk to Leeds Castle before returning to the show-ground finish area.

There are supported options of:

  • 50 km loop
  • 25 km loop
  • 10 km

The route is fully signed with pink arrows and glow-sticks at night, and GPS maps are available in the event app. Rest stops appear approximately every 12.5 km, with major covered stops every 25 km; stops include seating, toilets, medical support, changing areas and catering with hot drinks, water and energy drinks. A picnic lunch is provided at 25 km. Medical staff, podiatrists and massage therapists are available at rest stops and along the route.

Basecamp offers camping packages and pitch your own options, with hot showers and drinks stations. Event services include shuttle buses and transfers to nearby stations and parking at the finish. Finishers receive a medal, a finisher t-shirt, a post-race meal and a finish-line photo. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
