Epping Forest Wildwood Trail Series

The Epping Forest Wildwood Trail Series features off-road running events held within the ancient woodland of Epping Forest in London. Taking place in October, the race provides an autumn trail experience on a terrain consisting of scenic woodland paths. The event is designed with a focus on sustainability, utilizing eco-friendly materials, maintaining plastic-free water stations, and ensuring routes protect the local ecosystem.

Participants can choose from two main distances:

  • Half Marathon: A two-lap trail course.
  • 10K: A single-lap trail course.

The event hub is located at Chingford Plain Car Park. Public transport is the recommended method of travel, as Chingford Station is approximately 0.5 miles from the venue. While limited parking is available in Epping Forest car parks, space is restricted.

The course is fully marked and supported by marshals and aid stations. Timing is conducted via chip technology, and results are posted online. All finishers receive a medal. Registration takes place on the morning of the event at the race hub. For safety and environmental reasons, running with buggies or dogs is not permitted. Minimum age requirements are 17 years for the Half Marathon and 14 years for the 10K if running with an adult. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
