Event Overview
The Thompson Millennium Green 10K & 5K is a multi-terrain running event taking place in and around Thompson, Norfolk. The route uses picturesque pathways, lanes, and bridleways.
Distances and Entry
Participants can choose from two distances:
- 10 km: Minimum age is 15.
- 5 km: Minimum age is 11.
The course is not suitable for wheelchairs, buggies, or pets. Entry fees vary for affiliated and unaffiliated runners. All profits from the annual event go to the Thompson Millennium Green Charitable Trust to support the preservation of the local green space.
Event Details
The event is based at Thompson Community Hall. A photographer is usually present. Participants receive a bespoke medal, with trophies awarded to the first, second, and third male and female finishers in each distance. The runs are not chip-timed and have a cut-off time.
Facilities and Regulations
Facilities include refreshments, toilets, parking, an unattended baggage area, and a large children's play area. There is a water station on the 10 km course and at the finish line; participants are encouraged to bring a refillable bottle. Medical assistance and an ambulance are on site.
