Water & Windmill 10 Miler

The Water and Windmill 10 Miler is a guided trail run on a roughly 10 miles / 16 km route with about 170 m of ascent. The route follows local canals and waterways, passes reservoirs and goes by Britain’s oldest post windmill. Runners travel through fields, over hills and alongside water with views towards the Chilterns and from the Chiltern tops.

The event includes a run leader and trail technique instruction, plus information about the local area and environment. Entry now includes a finisher’s medal. Participants are grouped by ability; the organiser asks that runners can complete 10 km on road in 90 minutes or less. First time trail runners are welcome. The event is dog friendly when using cani cross equipment; running with a collar is not permitted.

Location details name Church Farm Cafe, Aldbury. On site parking is available and toilets and a bag drop are provided at the cafe. The start is about a 15 minute walk from the local station. Participants must provide their own travel and personal insurance. A list of mandatory kit is provided by the organiser.
