Water & Windmill 10 Miler

The Water and Windmill 10 Miler is a guided trail run of 10 miles (16 km) with approximately 170 m of ascent. The route follows local canals and waterways, passes reservoirs and goes by Britain’s oldest post windmill. Runners cross fields, climb hills and run alongside water with views towards the Chilterns.

The event is delivered with a run leader present and includes on-route trail technique instruction and information about the local area and environment. Participants are grouped by ability; the organiser asks that runners can complete 10 km on the road in 90 minutes or less. The run is dog friendly provided canicross equipment is used.

Location details list Church Farm Cafe in Aldbury. Parking is available on site and rail access is a 15 minute walk from the meeting point. On-site facilities include a cafe, toilets and a bag drop. The organiser requires mandatory kit for the trip. A finisher’s medal is included with entry from 2026.

Spaces are limited to 40. Personal insurance and travel are not included in the event price. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
