Ridgeway Run
The Ridgeway Run is a trail race covering a distance of approximately 15 kilometres (9.3 miles). Organized by the Tring Running Club since 1982, the event is held under UK Athletics rules and carries a Trail Running Association permit. The course is situated mainly on footpaths and bridleways, offering views of the Chilterns.
The route begins on the outskirts of Tring and moves into the Ashridge Estate. Participants pass the Bridgewater Monument and navigate a section of the Ridgeway path. The course also includes Pitstone Hill before descending back toward Tring. The run concludes at the local Cricket Club.
The event has an entry limit of 650 participants. The course is fully marshalled to assist runners throughout the race. On-site facilities include separate male and female changing areas with showers. Following the event, refreshments and a bar are available for participants.
Registration is typically managed through an online system. Participants can choose between receiving a finisher's t-shirt or opting to have a tree planted on their behalf through a partnership with an environmental organization.
