The Fort 20

The Fort 20 is a mixed trail running event taking place on the Suffolk peninsula. Organized by Coastal Trail Runners in collaboration with English Heritage, the race follows a looped course that begins and ends within the walls of the 18th Century Landguard Fort in Felixstowe.

Participants navigate a 20 mile route that traverses a variety of coastal and inland landscapes. The course crosses two nature reserves and two river estuaries, and passes through the Port area. The route is fully marked for participants, and a .gpx file is provided for navigation.

The event is licensed by the TRA and conducted under UK Athletics rules. To ensure safety and support during the run, there are three water and snack stations positioned along the course. Facilities include a drop bag area for runners to store personal belongings. The event has a total cut-off time of six hours.

All participants receive a race medal and a long-sleeve T-shirt as part of their entry. Registration is open to individuals who are 18 years of age or older on the day of the event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
