The Fort 20

The Fort 20 is a looped trail race held on 4 October 2026 at Landguard Fort, View Point Road, Felixstowe, Suffolk (IP11 3TW). The route starts and finishes within the walls of the 18th Century Landguard Fort and crosses two nature reserves, two river estuaries and the Port. The event is organised by Coastal Trail Runners and is licensed by the TRA and held under UK Athletics rules.

Key details

The course distance is 20 mile on mixed trail. The event includes a fully marked route and a .gpx file, three water/snack stations, a drop bag facility, a quality long-sleeve T-shirt and a race medal. A six-hour cut-off is in place. Participants must be 18 years of age or older on race day.

Entries open 1 November 2025 and close 19 September 2026. Entry fees are:

  • Affiliated: £35.00 (rising to £40.00 from 01/04/2026)
  • Unaffiliated: £37.00 (rising to £42.00 from 01/04/2026)
