Shotley 24
Shotley 24 is a 24 hour trail running and camping event held on the Shotley peninsula in Suffolk, with Race HQ at Shotley Village Hall. The event uses a fully marked coastal lap of 4.3 miles that passes farm track, forest path, country lanes, riverbank and tarmac footpath.
Entries are offered for solo runners, pairs and teams of up to six runners. Entry fees vary by category and include overnight camping at Race HQ, event parking and toilets. Camping and campervanning at Race HQ are included in the entry fee, and camping is for registered runners only.
Race services include chip timing, Challenge First Aid cover, a bespoke medal for competitors, vests for runners completing one lap or more and a unique vest for solo runners who reach 100 miles. Solo and team prizes are listed as part of the event. Pilates and yoga sessions are provided during the weekend; participants should bring a mat.
Optional paid extras include a sauna and plunge pool, a bacon roll and coffee on Sunday morning, and massage services. The event is organised by Coastal Trail Runners, is licensed by the TRA and is held under UK Athletics rules. Minimum age for entry is 18 or older.
