Endurance Trail Event at Shotley Peninsula

Shotley 24 is an endurance trail running event held on the Shotley peninsula in Suffolk. The event is based at the Shotley Village Hall and follows a marked 4.3 mile coastal trail loop. The course terrain is varied and includes a combination of farm tracks, forest paths, country lanes, riverbanks, and tarmac footpaths.

Participants can choose to enter the event in several categories:

  • Solo runners
  • Pairs
  • Small teams of 3-4 runners
  • Large teams of 5-6 runners

The event operates as a 24-hour endurance weekend with overnight camping and campervanning facilities at the race headquarters included in the entry fee. While friends and family are permitted to support runners during the daytime, the overnight camping is reserved for participants.

Registration includes chip timing, access to toilets, and parking. All competitors receive a bespoke medal upon completion. Participants who complete at least one lap receive a race vest, while solo runners who reach the 100 mile mark are awarded a unique vest. Additional activities such as Pilates and Yoga sessions are provided on-site. Optional amenities available at the venue include a sauna, plunge pool, and massage services.
