Shotley 24

Shotley 24 is a 24 hour camping and trail running weekend held at Shotley Village Hall in Stutton, Suffolk on Saturday 18 to Sunday 19 July 2026. The event is organised by Coastal Trail Runners and is held under TRA licensing and UK Athletics rules.

The course is a fully marked coastal lap of 4.3 mile on the Shotley peninsula. The route runs over farm track, forest path, country lanes, riverbank and tarmac footpath.

The event offers individual and team formats: solo runners, pairs and teams of up to six. Race headquarters include overnight camping and campervanning as part of the entry fee; camping is reserved for registered runners. Supporters may attend during the day.

Included for competitors are event parking, toilets, chip timing, Challenge First Aid cover, a Coastal Trail Runners vest for anyone completing one lap or more, a unique vest for solo runners who reach 100 miles, a bespoke medal for all competitors and solo and team prizes. There are Pilates and yoga sessions on site and other on-site amenities.

Optional extras are available for an additional charge, for example sauna and plunge pool for £15, bacon roll and coffee on Sunday for £5, and massages with price to be confirmed. Minimum entry age is 18. Entry fees per person are Solo £80, Pairs £75, Small team (3-4) £70 and Large team (5-6) £65; there is an additional £2 fee for non attached entries. A timed running challenge on 21 June 2026 at Abberton Reservoir with repeated laps of a loop just over 5 km. Entry includes a medal and proceeds benefit Essex Wildlife Trust.

A muddy 5k at Trinity Park, Ipswich on 21 June 2026 organised by Cancer Research UK. The fairly flat showground course uses grass and paths and includes obstacles to climb, crawl and slide. Minimum fundraising target £50.

A relaxed 5 km trail run through Wyken Vineyards and surrounding countryside, followed by wood-fired flatbreads, locally roasted coffee and music in the vineyard courtyard. Limited spaces and free overflow parking with marshalls on site.

Oaks Trail at Rivenhall Oaks golf centre on 05 Jul 2026 offers two unmarked routes of about 6.5 or 3.5 miles, with entry fees split by England Athletics affiliation and proceeds donated to Essex and Herts Air Ambulance Trust.
