Shotley 24 is a 24 hour camping and trail running weekend on Saturday 18 to Sunday 19 July 2026 at Shotley Village Hall, The Street, Shotley, Stutton, IP9 1LX. The event is organised by Coastal Trail Runners and is open to solo runners, pairs and teams of up to six. The course is a fully marked coastal trail lap of 4.3 miles on the Shotley peninsula, including farm track, forest path, country lanes, riverbank and tarmac footpath. Minimum age is 18 on the event date. Entries open 21 September 2025 and close 21 June 2026; entries recorded so far are 13 participants. Entry fees per person are: Solo £80; Pairs £75; Small team (3-4) £70; Large team (5-6) £65. There is an additional £2 charge for non-attached entries.

Race services and extras

Race HQ camping and campervanning are included in the entry fee; camping is for competitors only while friends and family may attend as daytime supporters. Included with entry are event parking, toilets, chip timing, Challenge First Aid cover, a bespoke medal for all competitors, a vest for anyone completing at least one lap and a special vest for solo runners completing 100+ miles, plus solo and team prizes. The event offers Pilates and yoga sessions (bring a mat). Optional extras for purchase include a sauna and plunge pool (£15), a bacon roll and coffee on Sunday (£5) and massages (price to be confirmed).
