Shotley 24 is a 24-hour trail running and camping event held from Saturday 18 July to Sunday 19 July 2026. The event uses a fully marked 4.3 mile coastal lap on the Shotley peninsula. The route includes farm track, forest path, country lanes, riverbank and tarmac footpath.

  • Large team (5-6)

The event is licensed by the TRA and held under UK Athletics rules. The minimum age is 18 or older.

Location and race base

Race headquarters and camping are at Shotley Village Hall, The Street, Shotley, Stutton, IP9 1LX. Camping and campervanning at Race HQ are included in the entry fee; camping is for runners only.

Entries, fees and services

Entries open 21 September 2025 and close 21 June 2026. Entries so far: 18 participants. Entry fees per person are: Solo £80, Pairs £75, Small team £70, Large team £65, plus £2 for non attached. Included with entry: overnight camping, event parking, toilets, chip timing, a vest for anyone completing one lap, a unique vest for solo runners who complete 100+ miles, a bespoke medal, solo and team prizes, Core & More Pilates and Yoga sessions, and Challenge First Aid cover.

Optional extras available at additional cost include a sauna and plunge pool (£15), a bacon roll and coffee on Sunday morning (£5), and massages (price to be confirmed).
