Event Overview

Shotley 24 is a 24-hour endurance trail running event taking place over a weekend in July. The event offers participation options for solo runners, pairs, and teams of up to six people. Participants run a 4.3-mile coastal trail loop on the Shotley peninsula in Suffolk. The course surface includes farm track, forest path, country lanes, riverbank, and tarmac footpath.

Location and Facilities

The event is based at Shotley Village Hall. Overnight camping at the race headquarters is included in the entry fee, and campervans are permitted. Daytime support from friends and family is welcome, but camping is reserved for runners only.

The Mersea Mix is a 7-mile self-navigation trail race on Mersea Island. Runners follow a written description on an unmarked course, starting at individual times. Entry includes a voucher for the venue's bar.

A multi distance running festival at Haughley Park on 12 April 2026 offering 5k, 10k, half marathon, full marathon and ultra marathon options. The course mixes pathways, trails and woodland and includes on site parking and an aid station.

A multi-distance road event at Suffolk Running Centre offering 5k, 10k, half, marathon and ultra options on measured routes. The marathon uses the Kirtling Route; aid stations, parking and bespoke medals are provided.

Take on a coastal adventure with sandy trails and undulations in the Heritage Coast Run. Choose between a 10k or half marathon, both sharing a scenic, mostly off-road route. There's even a special 10k category for runners with dogs.
