The Rodent Wriggle is the third running and walking event held on 11 July 2026 from Needham Market Community Centre, School Street, Needham Market, IP6 8BB. It offers three measured routes that travel through the Mid Suffolk countryside and follow the upper reaches of the River Rat.

- 23 miles
- 31.5 miles (50k)
The 13.5 mile route branches off the main route at 7 miles. The 23 mile route branches off at 12.5 miles. Both shorter routes return to the main route to finish. The longest route passes 10 historic churches, including Great Finborough, Harleston and Rattlesden.
Checkpoint and support arrangements differ by distance: the 13.5 mile route has 2 checkpoints, the 23 mile route has 3, and the 31.5 mile route has 4. Refreshments are provided at all checkpoints and a light meal is provided at the finish. Food options include vegetarian choices and some gluten free and vegan options. Participants are asked to download and carry the route description in a waterproof cover and to bring a personal mug.
Parking is available at the community centre for long and medium routes. Short route parking is available in Station Yard or at Needham Lake. Under 18s must be accompanied by an adult. The event uses a scan and go system. Entries are limited to 165 and there are no entries on the day. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
