High Lodge 10K Guided Trail Run - June
This is a guided group trail run covering a distance of 10 km at High Lodge in Thetford Forest, Brandon, Suffolk. The route uses woodland trails that include hard-packed sections and single-track paths through woods. Participants may see local wildlife along the course.
Runs are led at a conversational pace. When registering, participants provide a rough 5k, 10k or half-marathon time to help place them in groups of similar ability, but groups are not expected to run at that submitted pace. The event is described as suitable for runners who have experience on the road and are taking first steps into trail running; terrain is mostly flat with very few obstacles.
The organiser allows two hours for the session, though actual duration will depend on group ability. There is parking at High Lodge and parking for attendees is charged at £4. Recommended kit includes trail shoes where available, a waterproof jacket, sun cream if needed, at least 500 ml of water and any snacks required.
