Event Overview

The Cawston Trail Race is a new 5-mile off-road event taking place entirely within the grounds of the Cawston Park estate in Norfolk. The race follows forest paths and is marshalled and signposted. It is organized by Norfolk Lowland Search and Rescue, a voluntary charity, with all funds raised going directly to support their search efforts for vulnerable missing people.

Course & Facilities

The course is an off-road trail on forest paths within the estate. Parking is available on-site for a £2 charge (cash only), and car sharing is encouraged. Toilets are available at race headquarters, but there are no changing facilities or a formal baggage drop, as the car park is close to the start and finish. Race Information

  • The race distance is 5 miles. Registration and race number collection open on the day. The event uses chip timing. Prizes are awarded for the first, second, and third male and female runners, and all finishers receive a memento. Refreshments, including tea, coffee, and cakes, are available for purchase (cash only). The minimum age for participants is 15. Headphones (including bone conduction types), dogs, buggies, and wheelchairs are not permitted. A race briefing is held at the start line five minutes before the start.
