The Cawston Trail Race is a new, charity trail event organised by Norfolk Lowland Search and Rescue on 04/10/2026 at Cawston Park, NR10 4JD. The race distance is 5 miles and proceeds support the team’s search work for vulnerable missing people in Norfolk. Fundraising examples given by the organiser: £25 funds a canine first aid kit, £50 helps maintain a life jacket for the water team, and £100 pays for fuel for the incident command unit.

Course and practical information

The course is entirely off-road, following forest paths within the Cawston Park estate. The course will be marshalled and/or signposted. Chip timing is provided. Water is available at approximately the halfway point and at the finish. Race numbers are collected on the day and all finishers receive a race memento; prizes are awarded to the first, second and third male and female finishers.

On-site car parking is available for a £2 cash charge. Toilets are provided at race HQ, but there are no changing facilities and no baggage drop. Refreshments such as tea, coffee and cakes will be for sale (cash). Minimum age is 15 years. Headphones (including bone conduction) are not permitted. Dogs, buggies and wheelchairs are not allowed. Entries are non-refundable but transfers to another runner are available until 27/09/2026.
