Letting Off Steam
Letting Off Steam is a summer running event held on 23 August 2026 at Whitwell and Reepham Railway Station. Boghopper Races has teamed up with Keeping Abreast, Breast Cancer Reconstruction Support Charity (charity no. 1129522) to raise funds for the charity.
Participants choose between two route options that run along Marriott's Way and local footpaths.
- 5 km - suitable for all ages, under 11s must be accompanied by an adult
- 10 km - suitable for participants aged over 15 years only
A medal is awarded to every finisher. Refreshments are available during the event. Car parking is available all day for £2, with that charge donated to Whitwell and Reepham Preservation Society. Donations to the charity are welcome.
The event is licensed by the Association of Running Clubs and held under UK Athletics Rules, permit number ARC 26/0143. To reduce costs and increase the amount donated to charity, these races are not timed. Entries are non-refundable and cannot be deferred, but transfers to another runner are permitted until midnight on 15/08/2026. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
