2026 50KM BOUDICCA WAY
The event on 12 September 2026 is a 50 km ultra running the length of the Boudicca Way from Diss to Norwich. The route follows a well established long distance path and is described as well marked with a generally good running surface.
The course passes through historic South Norfolk villages and ancient sites, including Saxlingham Nethergate, Shotesham and Caistor Roman Town. Caistor is noted as one of only three Roman towns in the UK that has not been built on, with archaeological finds dating to the 1st century AD. The route runs across terrain associated with the Iceni tribe and the story of Boudicca.
The start location is Hope Church, Vinces Road, Diss IP22 4HQ. The finish is at Trowse Common, Trowse, Norwich NR14 8SZ. The start is about a 200 metre walk from Diss train station, and organisers note the route benefits from good train links between start and finish. The event has a 10 hour time limit and includes cut offs along the route. Entry is limited to 250 places.
The event is licensed by the Trail Runners Association and is held under UK Athletics rules. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
