Summer Boudicca Way 50km Ultra
The Summer Boudicca Way 50km Ultra is an ultramarathon held in Norfolk. The race follows the 50 km ancient Boudicca Way long distance path, running parallel to the old Roman Road. The point-to-point course begins in Diss and concludes in Trowse, Norwich. Both the start and finish locations are situated near railway stations, providing access to transport links.
The route passes through several Norfolk villages, including Pulham Market, Fritton, Saxlingham, Stoke Holy Cross, and Caistor St. Edmund. The event is open to both runners and walkers, with a total time limit of 10 hours to complete the distance. Participation is restricted to individuals aged 20 years or older on the day of the event, and the total field is limited to 250 participants.
Participants receive several services as part of their entry:
- Food and drinks at designated checkpoints
- GPS tracking for the duration of the race
- First aid services
- A light meal and hot drinks at the finish line
- A unique finisher medal
The race is licensed by the Trail Runners Association and is held under UK Athletics Rules. Prizes are awarded to the first, second, and third-place finishers in both the Female and Male/Open categories.
