Suffolk Coastal Path 50K

The Suffolk Coastal Path 50K is a point-to-point trail race held on 12th September 2026 between Lowestoft and Aldeburgh. The route covers about 50 kilometres with approximately 120 m+ of elevation and a nine hour time limit. Navigation is fully marked and the race holds a UTMB World Series index and a license from the Trail Running Association.

The course begins on the Lowestoft seafront and moves south. The first 20 km combine hard paths, quiet country lanes and scenic trails. From Reydon the route continues through Southwold, around the River Blyth estuary and on to Dunwich across moorland and forest paths. The later stages pass Dunwich Heath and the edge of RSPB Minsmere, then follow coastal trails through Sizewell and Thorpeness before finishing in Aldeburgh.

Aid stations are positioned at Benacre (13 km), Reydon (23.3 km), Dunwich Church (35.1 km) and Sizewell (44.2 km). Toilets are available at the Reydon, Dunwich Church and Sizewell checkpoints, with additional public facilities along the route. A GPX track and mapped route files are provided for the course. Coach transfer is offered as an optional service. The minimum age for entry is 20 and dogs are not permitted. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
