Suffolk Coastal Path 50K

The Suffolk Coastal Path 50K is a point-to-point ultra marathon along the Suffolk coast, running from Lowestoft to Aldeburgh. The next edition is scheduled for 12th September 2026. The course distance is 50K with around 120m of elevation gain. The event is permitted by the Trail Running Association (TRA) and held under UKA rules, and it is an UTMB World Series index race. Minimum age for entry is 20.

Route, aid stations and logistics

The race starts at Kensington Gardens in Lowestoft and finishes at Moot Hall in Aldeburgh. The route is fully marked with orange arrows and ribbons and will have marshals at road crossings and busier sections; runners are asked to carry a digital route on a watch or phone as backup. There are four aid stations at 13.0km, 23.3km (toilet available), 35.1km and 44.2km (toilet available). Aid station supplies include water, coke, Precision Fuel & Hydration products (pre-mixed electrolyte drink, gels, chews), crisps, sweets, Chia Charge mini flapjacks and fresh fruit (banana, orange, watermelon). Event facilities include portable toilets at the start, fixed toilets at the finish, bag drop, chip timing, course medical support, marshals and an optional coach transfer between finish and start.
