Suffolk Coastal Path 50K
The Suffolk Coastal Path 50K is a point to point ultra marathon trail run on 12 September 2026, running along the Suffolk coast from Kensington Gardens in Lowestoft to Moot Hall in Aldeburgh. The course distance is 50K with approximately 120m of elevation gain.
The route is varied. The first 20km combines hard paths, quiet country lanes and scenic trails as it moves inland. From Reydon the course continues through Southwold and around the River Blyth estuary, then heads toward Dunwich via moorland and forest paths. Runners pass National Trust Dunwich Heath and skirt the edge of RSPB Minsmere before following coastal trails through Sizewell and Thorpeness to the seafront finish in Aldeburgh.
Aid stations are positioned along the route at Benacre (13.7km), Reydon (22.6km), Dunwich Church (34.4km) and Sizewell (43.5km). Toilets are available at the Reydon, Dunwich Church and Sizewell checkpoints and there are several additional public facilities along the course. Navigation is fully marked.
The event has a 9 hour time limit, a minimum age of 20 and does not permit dogs. It is licensed by the Trail Running Association and held under UKA rules. Coach transfers are available to book during entry. The race is indexed in the UTMB World Series. The race is currently full and a waiting list is open. A runner guide and GPX route files are provided for entrants. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
