2025 Winter Warrior 50km Ultra
The Winter Warrior is a 50 km trail ultramarathon on Saturday 1 November 2025, running from Trowse in Norwich to Hope Church in Diss along the Boudicca Way. The route stays on the Boudicca trail and passes through the villages of Caistor St. Edmund, Stoke Holy Cross, Saxlingham, Tasburgh, Fritton, Pulham Market and Shimpling before finishing at Diss. Organizers note winter weather factors such as shorter daylight hours and the likelihood of wet and muddy trails. The event is licensed by the Trail Runners Association and held under UK Athletics rules.
Entry and logistics
Entries open 21 November 2024 and close 25 October 2025. The event is limited to 150 participants and the minimum age on race day is 20 years. Entry fees are listed as £67 for UKA members and £69 for non-members. Deferrals are not allowed; transfers to another participant are permitted until midday on 25 October 2025. Included with entry are a finisher medal, a GPX course file, three indoor checkpoints with food and hot drinks, a light meal and hot drinks at the finish, GPS safety tracking, first aid cover and free parking near the start and finish. Prizes are awarded for 1st to 3rd in the Female and Male/Open categories. The organisers donate £1 per runner to Norfolk Trails.
