The Lucky Horseshoe is scheduled for 19 September 2026 at the Suffolk Running Centre, Church Road, Bury St Edmunds, IP29 5AX. The event is organised by Zig Zag Running. Entrants must be at least 18 years old. Maximum field size is 300 and entries close on 18/09/2026. There is a seven-hour cut off for the event. Finishers receive a bespoke medal or can choose a lucky-dip finisher medal option where available.

Course and facilities

The course is primarily out-and-back. The marathon is a full out-and-back loop; the shorter distances use turnaround points. Routes make use of the Gallops Route and Golding Hills sections, with parts that run toward Newmarket and the Gallops. Aid stations with drinks and snacks are provided approximately every 10 km. Race HQ / Base Camp and a water/aid station are located at the start and lap point. Parking is included with entry.
