ZigZag - The Lucky Horseshoe

This is a multi-distance trail event held at Suffolk Running Centre, Church Road, Bury St Edmunds, IP29 5AX. The event uses out and back routes and is described as social in character. There is a seven hour cutoff and a mass start.

The marathon follows one full loop as an out and back; the other distances use turnaround points. The Gallops Route is used for the half and the full, while Golding Hills is used for the 5k and 10k. The route passes towards Newmarket and may pass areas where racehorses train.

Aid stations with drinks and nibbles are provided approximately every 10 km. Race headquarters and a base camp are located at the start and lap point, and the base camp will host a water and aid station. Parking is included in the entry price. The event has gone cupless, so participants should bring their own bottles or cups for refilling.
