Suffolk Coastal Trail Run

The Suffolk Coastal Trail Run, organized by Endurancelife, takes place in the peaceful landscape of Dunwich. The event is set within a sensitive natural environment managed by organizations such as Natural England, the RSPB, and the National Trust. The terrain consists of a mix of forest paths, moorland, grass, and beach sections.

Participants can choose from four distinct distance categories:

  • 10K: A course of approximately 6.1 miles with 279 feet of ascent.
  • Half Marathon: A course of approximately 13.5 miles with 525 feet of ascent.
  • Marathon: A course of approximately 26.7 miles with 945 feet of ascent.
  • Ultra: A course of approximately 32.7 miles with 1,129 feet of ascent.

The routes are described as exceptionally flat and fast compared to typical trail running standards. All courses are fully marked with signs, removing the need for participant navigation. The event features electronic timing with instant result printouts including split times.

Amenities at the event base include on-site facilities and a finishers medal for all participants. An optional all-day parking permit is available for the main Dunwich parking area, with proceeds benefiting the local village and church. This event is part of the Endurancelife seasonal leaderboard, where participants earn points based on their performance. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
