Norfolk Coastal Trail Marathon and Half Marathon
Runners-next-the-Sea is organising a full and a half marathon along the Norfolk Coast Path on 19/09/2026. The event donates £5 from every entry to the East Anglian Air Ambulance. Entry caps are 200 for the full marathon and 300 for the half marathon.
Distances
- Full marathon: Holme-next-the-Sea to Morston via Norfolk Coast Path
- Half marathon: Burnham Overy Staithe to Morston via Norfolk Coast Path
Both routes follow the well marked trail signed with acorns and are mainly off road. The finish for both distances is at Morston. The routes have not been measured by a UKA approved course measurer so distances are approximate. The course is not suitable for wheelchairs or for dogs accompanying runners; competitors must complete the event on foot.
There will be checkpoints with refreshments at specified locations along each route. Some checkpoints provide water only and toilets are available at selected points. The event is cup less so entrants should bring their own re-usable cups or bottles and carry enough food and drink to reach the first checkpoint. Marshals will be at main road crossings but they will not stop traffic. First aiders will be present at the start/finish and along the course.
Coach transport from the finish to the start is available if booked with entry at a cost of £12. Minimum age on race day is 18. All finishers receive a bespoke medal and there are prizes for first, second and third in Male and Female/Open categories. The event will be licensed by the Trail Runners Association and held under UK Athletics rules. No refunds; transfers available until two weeks before the race. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
