Norfolk Coastal Trail Marathon

Morston, United Kingdom • 19 Sep 2026

Norfolk Coastal Trail Marathon and Half Marathon

The event offers two trail distances along the Norfolk Coast Path, finishing at Morston. Routes are mainly off road and follow the well marked coastal path that uses acorn waymarkers. Distances are approximate because the course has not been measured by a UKA approved measurer.

Entry limits are 200 for the full marathon and 300 for the half marathon. Five pounds from every entry will be donated to the East Anglian Air Ambulance. The minimum age on race day is 18. All finishers receive a bespoke medal and prizes are awarded to first, second and third in both male and female or open categories.

Practical arrangements include coach transport from the finish to the starts that must be booked at entry and costs £12, pay and display parking at Holme and Morston car parks, and drop off only parking at Burnham Overy playing field. The course is not suitable for wheelchairs and dogs may not accompany runners. There are cut offs at Burnham Overy and Stiffkey.

Timing uses gun electronic timing with mats at points on the route and manual number recording at checkpoints for safety. Marshals are posted at main road crossings but will not stop traffic. Checkpoints provide water and snacks at specified mile points. First aiders will be present at the start finish and along the course.
