The Saltmarsh 75 is a coastal ultramarathon that spans approximately 75 miles along the Essex Saltmarsh coastline, starting from South Woodham Ferrers to Salcott. Participants can choose between a traditional two-day format, a continuous 75-mile option, or a three-person relay team format. A night street orienteering event in Chelmsford on 21 January using MapRun with two courses of 4.0 km and 7.3 km. It counts toward the Essex Winter Midweek Series with handicap scoring and an Anytime catch-up option.

Join the Dark Horse Trail on 21 January 2026 for a 5 mile self navigated run around Galleywood Common, starting and finishing at the Horse and Groom pub. Limited to 60 places, entry includes a sausage or veggie burger with chips.

Dark Rose is a 5.5 mile trail race around Great Waltham with a small 75 runner field and self navigation route given on the day. Finish back at the Rose and Crown for a hearty cottage pie or vegetable lasagne.

Nighttime street orienteering in Basildon as part of the Essex Winter Midweek Series 2025/26. MapRun is used and two score-format courses are offered with series points awarded using an age and gender handicap system.
