The event starts and finishes at Walberswick Village Hall and offers two route options on the Suffolk coast and nearby heathland footpaths around Minsmere and Dunwich. The course for 2026 will be adjusted because of works for Sizewell C.

Entry includes hot drinks at the start, food and drinks at checkpoints, a meal at the finish and a certificate for finishers. Entry fees differ for members and non members. Refunds, less an administrative charge, are possible up to 21 September 2026. The route description and GPX file for both routes will be available at least one week before the event.

Car parking is available in a nearby public car park with a pay and display charge currently £5 per day; there is no street parking in Walberswick. Participants should be prepared for autumn weather and carry minimum kit such as waterproof jacket and trousers, hat, an extra warm layer, suitable footwear, a map or downloaded route, the route description, an own mug and any personal food or drink.

Vegetarian food will be available and a small amount of vegan food is provided; participants with specific dietary requirements or allergies should plan accordingly. Dogs are allowed if they have third party insurance, are on a lead and are under control; dogs are not permitted inside checkpoint buildings.

Trail runs nearby

A countryside event from Needham Market offering three routes of 13.5, 23 and 31.5 miles. The longest route visits ten historic churches and all routes include staffed checkpoints with refreshments.

A guided 18 mile trail run on 12 July 2026 along the Kett’s Country Long Distance Trail, starting in Wymondham and finishing just past Cringleford’s historic twin arched bridge. The event emphasises history, nature and wildlife.

A 24 hour trail running and camping weekend on the Shotley peninsula with a fully marked 4.3 mile coastal lap. Entries are available for solo runners and teams, with camping, chip timing, medals and optional sauna and breakfast.

A multi lap Scores Race through Lowestoft's historic highs on 30 August 2026, with senior and junior courses, medals and commemorative t shirts. Christchurch serves as race HQ with limited changing, bag drop and refreshments.
