The Saxons 5 Mile Race

The Saxons 5 Mile Race takes place on 4 October 2026 at Carlton Park Sports Pavilion, Carlton Park, Saxmundham, IP17 1AT. The event is organised by Saxmundham Running and Fitness and held under race licence 31039. It is a chip timed, multi terrain race on a mix of playing field, footpaths and off road, with the route looping from the sports field towards Brook Farm Road and Kelsale before returning to the field. The course is fully marshalled and sign posted.

Entry fees are shown as affiliated runners £16 and unaffiliated runners £18. There are winners prizes and a race memento for every finisher. Prizes are awarded to the first three male and first three female finishers, age category winners for F40 to F75 plus and M40 to M75 plus, and first male and female teams scoring from their first three finishers. Only one prize per person.

Race HQ is at Saxmundham Running and Fitness Club, Carlton Park Sports Pavilion. Free marshalled car parking, changing facilities and toilets are available on site. There is no bag drop. Race numbers are collected on the day from Race HQ and timing chips are attached to the back of the race bib; safety pins are provided. The use of earphones is prohibited and may lead to disqualification. Results will be published on My Race Results.

A 24 hour trail running and camping weekend on the Shotley peninsula with a fully marked 4.3 mile coastal lap. Entries are available for solo runners and teams, with camping, chip timing, medals and optional sauna and breakfast.

A multi lap Scores Race through Lowestoft's historic highs on 30 August 2026, with senior and junior courses, medals and commemorative t shirts. Christchurch serves as race HQ with limited changing, bag drop and refreshments.

On 12 September 2026 a 50 km ultra follows the Boudicca Way from Diss to Norwich, passing historic Iceni and Roman sites. The route is waymarked, the start is close to Diss train station and the event is limited to 250 places.

A point-to-point 50K trail on 12 September 2026 from Lowestoft to Aldeburgh, following the Suffolk Coastal Path through Southwold, Dunwich Heath, Sizewell and Thorpeness. Fully marked with aid stations and a nine hour time limit.
