Trail Running calendar near Holt Heath 2026-2027

A summer trail race on the edge of the Peak District covering just over 20 miles through Cordwell and Linacre valleys. The largely unmarked route has GPX and route notes, two staffed checkpoints and medic cover.

Trail races of 24K and 51K start from Talybont-on-Usk on 8 August 2026, with marked routes, marshals and stocked aid stations. Entries include a themed medal, chip timing and free race photos.

A long distance run and walk in northeast Wales along the Offa's Dyke Path with route options of 32, 24 and 16 miles, checkpoint refreshment and a finish certificate.

A pancake-flat *10 km* out and back along the Brecon and Monmouthshire canal between Gilwern and Llangattock, set in the Brecon Beacons National Park. Finishers receive a medal, there is a drink station at 5 km, and entries are online only.

A multi-distance running event in Bath with sections through two former railway tunnels and along the Kennet & Avon Canal. Distances range from 500 m to 50 km, including 5 km, 10 km, half marathon, marathon and 50 km.

A 6 mile informal group run at Croome Park on 10 August 2026 organised by Black Pear Joggers. The one lap off road route includes a lakeside section and finishes with cake and tea or coffee, with profits to the National Trust.

A short, steep fell race organised by Goyt Valley Striders on 12 August 2026. The course is 3.4 miles with 901 ft of climb and uses Bugsworth War Memorial Club as Race HQ.

A 4.4 km fell race from the Ragleth Inn in Little Stretton with 390 m of ascent, a clockwise course with three control points, on-the-day or pre-entry and junior up and down Callow Hill races; some proceeds go to charity.

An evening trail race in Darley Dale featuring forest trails, technical descents and a steep 1 in 3 climb to Oker Trig Point with views across the Derwent Valley. Distance is 7.3 km with marked course and an entry limit.

A relaunch of the Flagg Village fell race on 14 August 2026 in the Peak District. The new 5.5 miles course runs through fields and lanes with a mile and a half downhill return to the village.

A trail ultra based at Winwick Hall with 50k and 100k options following the Harborough Round through Market Harborough countryside. GPX files, guided recces, staffed checkpoints and a defined mandatory kit list support competitors.

A hill and trail endurance event on Moel Famau with 12 and 24 hour options, run on a 5.8 km loop with about 400 m ascent per lap. Camping, feed stations, electronic timing and GPS tracking support solo runners, walkers and teams.

Mynydd Maen Traverse is a running event near Pontypool featuring a 9.8 km route with 291 m of climb. It includes separate junior races and accepts team entries of three.

A 7.5 km fell race at Cwrt-y-Cadno Show fields with 264 m of climb. Entry to the show covers the £5 fee; the course is partially marked and open to those over 16.

A guided 10 km trail run through the Chiltern Hills, followed by a brewery tour and tasting at Tring Brewery. Pizza is available afterwards in the Piggeries beer garden and participants receive trail coaching and bag storage.

A Bath running event on 16 August 2026 featuring two long, lit railway tunnels and a programme from 500 m colourburst to ultramarathon and relays; proceeds support Sustrans.

South West Spartan at Badminton Park on 16 August 2026 offers a one day set of obstacle races across fields and woodland with generally flat terrain and some small hills. Distances include a 5 km Sprint, 10 km Super, 21 km Beast and a kids..

A 10 km trail run at Ramsbury Brewery on August 16, 2026, mostly off road through trails and woodland. Canicross friendly, entries include a medal, a pint cup and a free drink.
