White Horse Gallop

The White Horse Gallop is a roughly 12K off-road race on 18 October 2026. The route follows bridle paths and runs along the Imber Range, passing close to the Westbury White Horse. The event is listed as the 13th year of the race.

Prizes are awarded to the first three male and female finishers and in veteran categories V40, V50, V60 and V70 for both sexes. All finishers receive a bespoke medal. Facilities on site include toilets, two water stations, first aid cover and refreshments available for purchase. The event is fully insured.

Car parking is limited at Leighton Recreation Centre BA13 3PT. There is a pay and display on Warminster Road BA13 3PE, approximately a ten minute walk to the start. Organisers request courtesy to local residents and recommend considering car sharing.

Entry is limited to 200 places. Entries are open until 1 October 2026 or until the race limit is reached; there will be no entries on the day. White Horse Gallop is open to runners aged 16 years or over on race day. Headphones and dogs are not permitted. Registration on race day runs from 09:00 to 10:00 where race numbers are collected; numbers should be secured to the front of the top and clearly visible at the finish. Part of the MacTuffX UK series in Stoke Gifford, this event combines ten Xercises with repeated runs across solo, doubles and five person relay formats. A LITE weight division is available and all entrants must be 18 and above.

A Race for Life obstacle event on The Downs in Bristol, featuring a mixed terrain muddy 5 km course with 28 m ascent. It is for participants aged 13 and over and includes on-site facilities, fundraising support and a finishers medal.

A family friendly off-road event near Damerham with 5 km and 10 km runs plus a children's colour run; medals, category trophies, refreshments and on-site parking are provided.

An informal roughly 18 km trail run around Bristol, meeting and finishing at Commune Cafe. Organised by Left Handed Giant Run Club with bag drop, toilets and refreshments noted.
