The Witches Whisk

The Witches Whisk is part of a Halloween race series held at Pengethley Manor, Ross-on-Wye. The event offers multiple distance options and runs on an off road course entirely within the manor grounds.

Participants choose one of the following distances:

• 5k (2 laps)
• 10k
• Half Marathon
• Marathon
• Ultra

The event uses a lap format with each lap measuring 2.5 km. Entrants have a seven hour time limit to complete their chosen distance. The course is described as very tough, with a hill on each lap and a series of up and down sections that pass through two vineyards. The event is listed as suitable for walkers and runners.

Entries can be made as in person or virtual. Virtual participants can receive a personalised virtual bib by email once entered. Paid entrants who verify their run receive a medal; medal colours may vary between green and orange and availability can change by year. A charity entry option is available that reduces the entry fee to a nominal amount in return for a sponsorship commitment at a specified minimum.
