Thames Trail Ultra

The Thames Trail Ultra is a 47 mile point to point ultra marathon that follows the Thames Path from Iffley near Oxford to Henley on Thames. The route uses both the Thames Path and sections of the Ridgeway National Trails and includes a mix of riverside paths, cross country trails and some road sections. The course comprises about 40.4 miles of trails and riverside paths and about 6.6 miles of road, with total elevation gain of approximately +289 m and elevation loss of about -321 m.

The event provides five aid stations offering water, snacks and Go Beyond fruitcake, plus partner energy bars. Toilets are available near Checkpoints 1, 4 and 5. The finish moved to the YMCA Y Centre in Henley on Thames where hot food, showers and changing facilities are available. Real time GPS tracking is used with position updates every 10 seconds. The event enforces an overall cut off of 11.5 hours with progressive cut off points from Checkpoint 3.

All runners must carry mandatory kit including a charged mobile phone, power bank, minimum 1L water bottle or bladder, survival blanket, waterproof jacket, whistle, headtorch with spare batteries, hat and gloves, a long sleeved base layer or fleece and a debit or credit card. Baggage transfer from start to finish is available with a maximum bag size of 56 x 45 x 25 cm. The event is for people aged 18 years and over. Trail runs nearby

A 50K trail ultra across the Chiltern Hills from Berkhamsted Castle to Hampden Meadow via Ashridge, Ivinghoe Beacon, Coombe Hill and Whiteleaf Hill. Fully marked route with three checkpoints and a nine hour time limit.

A community running event on 19 April 2026 in the Chiltern Hills with timed 5km and 10km races plus a children's Run in Colour. Routes use mixed terrain and include access to the Wormsley Estate with facilities at Ibstone Common.

A multi-distance riverside series based at Streatley with 250, 150 and 100 mile options. Runners navigate with provided maps and GPX, use GPS tracking and reach checkpoints under strict cutoff times while carrying compulsory safety kit.

A spring, group-led trail run of around **10 km** through bluebell woods near Tring in the Chiltern Hills, with Run Leaders, trail-running tips, bag storage and nearby cafes. Dog friendly with cani-cross equipment.
