Thames Trail Ultra

The Thames Trail Ultra is a challenging 47-mile point-to-point ultra-marathon along England’s longest river, the Thames. Starting near Iffley in Oxfordshire and finishing at the YMCA Y Centre in Henley-on-Thames, the course follows the Thames Path and Ridgeway National Trails. Runners experience a mix of terrain including cross-country trails, riverside paths, and some road sections, with scenic views of picturesque villages, traditional rowing clubs, and beautiful riverside houses. The event features five aid stations offering water, snacks, and energy bars, and provides real-time GPS tracking. It is a UTMB index race with a cut-off time of 11.5 hours, and mandatory kit requirements ensure safety on this well-supported, popular British ultra event.
