Town and Country Harriers (TACH)

Town and Country Harriers is an off-road running club based around Bristol that organises regular Thursday runs and local races. Runs typically start and finish at a pub, usually within a thirty-minute drive of central Bristol, and cover mixed terrain ranging from city trails to hilly off-road routes in the Mendips and Cotswolds. Members often run with head torches in winter. The club asks that participants can run about 4–5 miles comfortably on the flat and have tried some daylight trail running. The annual membership fee is £10 (plus any online administration charge) and includes a periodic newsletter, opportunities to help organise races, affiliated race entry discounts, and retail and service discounts. The club operates a "no runner gets left behind" policy, encourages members to lead runs, and recommends hi-viz for visibility.
