The Scary Scamper

Event details

The Scary Scamper is a Halloween series race held on 20th October 2026 at Pengethley Manor, Ross-on-Wye (what3words: physical.growth.shelf). The event is an offroad multi-lap course contained within the manor grounds. Each lap is 2.5 km, with a hill on each lap and a series of up-and-down sections through two vineyards. Participants have a 7 hour time limit to complete their chosen distance. The event is open to walkers and runners. Routes may not be signed and marshal placement is limited; remaining on course is the athlete’s responsibility.

Entry fees listed include Race Entry £29.00, Virtual UK Entry £25.00, and Virtual Overseas Entry £39.00. Entries are non refundable. A charity option is available for a £10.00 entry fee provided the entrant raises at least twice that amount for the nominated charity and meets the fundraising deadline. Paid entrants receive the same themed medal as virtual paid entrants; medals may be supplied in green or orange depending on availability. Virtual participation is allowed from anywhere and can be recorded for results; unpaid virtual participation is recorded without a medal. Deferral to the next edition is available for £15.00 up to four weeks before the event. Participants must be aged 18 or over. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
