The Scary Scamper takes place on 21 October 2025 at Pengethley Manor, Ross-on-Wye (what3words: physical.growth.shelf). The event offers timed runs with a maximum allowed time of 7 hours to complete the chosen distance. The course is offroad and contained within the grounds of Pengethley Manor. Each lap measures 2.5 km and includes a hill that is repeated on every lap, plus a series of ups and downs running through two vineyards. The event is open to walkers and runners. Entrants must be aged 18 or over.

Entries, medals and other arrangements
Entry fees listed are: Race Entry £29.00, Virtual UK Entry £25.00, Virtual Overseas Entry £39.00. All entry payments are non refundable. A charity entry option is available for a £10.00 entry fee if the participant commits to raising at least twice that amount for the nominated charity, with funds raised at least four weeks before the event. Physical race bibs are issued at on-site registration; virtual bibs are emailed after entry. Virtual participation is possible from anywhere; paid virtual entrants receive the same medals as race finishers, which may be provided in green or orange. Free virtual participation without a medal is recorded via the organiser’s Strava group. A deferral option to the next year is available for £15 up to four weeks before the event.
