The Scary Scamper

The Scary Scamper is part of a Halloween race series held at Pengethley Manor, Ross-on-Wye. Entrants choose a distance and have a seven hour limit to complete their chosen target. The event is suitable for walkers and runners.

The course is off road and contained within the grounds of Pengethley Manor. Each lap measures 2.5 km, includes a section with a hill, and passes through two vineyards with a series of ups and downs. The organiser describes the terrain as very tough.

There is a virtual option that can be completed anywhere. Paid virtual entries receive the same type of medal as race finishers; free virtual participation is recorded on the results list but does not include a medal. Virtual medals are posted after run verification and additional postage costs apply for international delivery.

Entry fees are non refundable. Published prices include a standard race entry fee and separate virtual entry tiers. A charity entry option is available at a reduced fee subject to a fundraising requirement. A deferral option is offered for a set fee up to four weeks before the event.
