Dirtrun Wyre Wizard Trail Half Marathon

The Dirtrun Wyre Wizard Trail Half Marathon returns for its tenth edition in the autumn of 2026. The event is located at the Wyre Forest, based at the Callow Hill Visitor Centre near Kidderminster. The course traverses ancient woodland and a landscape featuring multiple contours and varying terrain. Participants navigate fully signed and marshalled routes through the forest environment.

The event offers two distinct distance options:

  • 13 miles (Trail Half Marathon)
  • 7.6 miles (Wyre Wizard Super Seven)

All participants receive race timing, a finishers medal, and a selection of finish line goodies. Results are categorized with prizes available, including real ale provided by a local brewery. The course is supported by medical staff, a tail runner, and four designated water stations offering water and sweets. Commentary and public address shout-outs are provided throughout the event.

Entry is restricted to participants aged 17 and over for the half marathon distance, while the shorter route is open to those aged 14 and over. A time limit is in place, as all runners must complete the course within four hours. The venue includes a cafe at the visitor centre serving hot food and tea. Visitors using the car park are required to follow the pay and display system. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
