Trail Running calendar near Holt Heath 2026-2027

A 10 km trail run at Ramsbury Brewery on August 16, 2026, mostly off road through trails and woodland. Canicross friendly, entries include a medal, a pint cup and a free drink.

A timed, flexible run along a 3.28 mile out and back route beside the Stroud Waterways canal. Runners choose distances from 5 km up to ultra and may complete as many laps as they wish within a seven hour limit.

Join the Crook Peak Cake Race in Axbridge on Wed 19 Aug 2026 for a spirited 3 mile fell challenge across stunning Somerset hills, finishing with cake and community cheer. On the day entry available for runners aged 14 and up.

Trail races from Edale across Peak District peaks with self navigated GPX and marked maps. Distances include a 41 mile ultra, marathon and half, with stocked checkpoints, finishers' medals and safety trackers on longer courses.

A 7 hour time challenge at Dare Valley Country Park where runners pick their distance from a 3km minimum. The event features a cupcake magnet medal, a baking competition, aid tables with vegan options, and free parking.

Trail races at Wendover Woods feature a half marathon, 10k, 5k and junior race across steep woodland with 181 m of climb. Entries include a themed medal, free photos, chip timing and post race goodies.

An 8.8 km (5.5 mile) fell run around Pen Y Gwely reservoir near Rhydycroesau, featuring tracks, paths and fields with 225 m of climb. The course is partially marked, entry is £7 on the day and the minimum age is over 15.

A 30 km circular fell race around Belper on a chipped, fully signposted course that passes ancient Roman roads, farmland and woodland. Walkers and runners may enter; the route is not suitable for wheelchairs or dogs.

A children's fun run organised by Afan Valley Swimming Club on 23 August, covering approximately 1 mile of mixed grass and tarmac with uphill and downhill sections. Entry includes a finishers' medal and a bag of sweets.

A 10 mile trail race through Radnor forest in Mid Wales on 23 August 2026, held in aid of the Special Care Baby Unit in Hereford. The route reaches Black Mixen at 2130 ft and includes forestry roads, moorland and tree covered single track.

A trail half marathon across the Dunstable Downs on 23 August 2026, starting from Creasey Park in Dunstable. The self navigated route includes checkpoints, guide runners and a GPX file and offers on site facilities and a finisher medal.

Experience a point to point mountain ultra from the Black Mountains to Cardiff featuring scenic ridges and historic castles. Choose between 33 or 44 mile distances with indoor aid stations and self navigation along the Cambrian Way.

Nottingham Running Festival at Nottingham Racecourse in Colwick Country Park features a Half Marathon, 10K, 5K and junior race, supports Nottinghamshire Hospice, and includes medals, free photos, chip timed results and an event village.

A chip timed, multi-terrain 10 km through Pershore and nearby countryside, finishing in Abbey Park with Pershore Abbey nearby. Entry is online, limited to 325 places and restricted to participants aged 18 and over.

MacTuffX Bedford on 30 August 2026 at Barkers Lane features ten Xercises and ten runs (400m or 800m) with Solo, Doubles and Relay entry options; a LITE weight division and a detailed leaderboard are available.

A 7 km fell race with 365 m of ascent in Machen on 31 August 2026. The route runs on steep, loose terrain so trail or fell shoes are recommended and entry is on the day with a £7 fee and age limit over 18.

The 55th Cilcain Mountain Race is a 7.4 km mountain event with 380 m ascent on the Clwydian Range. It includes Welsh Athletics senior short inter regional and North Wales regional championships and features junior races behind the showgroun..

A scenic 10 km fell race around Sir William Hill starting and finishing in Eyam, sponsored by The Barrel Inn, with post-race BBQ and prizes, plus a 3 km junior on-the-day race for ages 11 to 16.
