FOBS 5K Trail Run and Colour Run at Box Recreation Ground

Friends of Box School (FOBS) organise a community fundraising event for Box Primary School on Sunday 18 October 2026 at Box Recreation Ground, Box, Wiltshire SN13 8NT. The programme includes a family-oriented colour run and a separate 5 km trail run through the nearby Bybrook valley.

The colour run is an 800 m loop around the event site with four colour stations. It is non-competitive and entrants may complete one or two laps according to preference. The event site is signposted and marshalled, with volunteers operating the course.

The 5 km trail route follows a looped course into the countryside, combining mixed terrain and grassy fields and passing views of Box Tunnel. The 5 km is fully signposted and marshalled, and all participants receive chip timed results from a local timing team.

Facilities at Race HQ on the recreation ground include refreshments such as tea, coffee, cake and hot dogs, and toilets in the Pavilion. Certificates are provided for all finishers. Parking at the venue is limited; attendees are advised to consider walking, cycling or car sharing where possible.

This is the inaugural event organised by parents of Box Primary School. It is open to all and aims to raise funds to enhance the experience and wellbeing of pupils at the school. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
