The Ghostly Gallop is part of a Halloween race series held at Pengethley Manor in Ross on Wye, what3words physical.growth.shelf. Entrants choose a target distance and must complete their chosen distance within seven hours. The event is open to walkers and runners.

The course is offroad and lies entirely within the grounds of Pengethley Manor. Each lap is 2.5 km and includes a hill plus a series of ups and downs that pass through two vineyards. The organiser describes the route as very tough. The majority of event routes are not signed; marshals are placed where appropriate and competitors are responsible for remaining on course.

There is a virtual option that can be completed anywhere, with date flexibility for entries. Virtual entrants receive a personalised virtual bib by email and paid virtual entries receive the same type of medal as race finishers. International postage for medals carries an additional cost. A free virtual participation option is recorded on the results list without a medal by joining the organiser s Strava group.

Entry fees are non refundable. Published fees include Race Entry £29.00, Virtual UK Entry £25.00 and Virtual Overseas Entry £39.00. A charity entry option is available for a reduced fee of £10.00 when the entrant commits to raising at least twice the entry fee amount and meeting fundraising deadlines. Entrants must be 18 or over and are responsible for ensuring they are fit to participate and for declaring any relevant medical conditions.
