The Ghostly Gallop takes place on 23 October 2025 at Pengethley Manor, Ross-on-Wye (what3words: physical.growth.shelf). Entrants choose a target distance:
- 5k
- 10k
- Half Marathon
- Marathon
- Ultra
Each lap is 2.5 km, so the 5k option is two laps. The course is offroad and contained within the grounds of Pengethley Manor. The route includes a hill on each lap and a series of ups and downs through two vineyards. Participants have a 7 hour time limit to complete their chosen distance. The event is described as suitable for walkers and runners, and the organiser also offers a virtual option that can be completed anywhere.
Entries, medals and rules
Standard entry fees listed by the organiser are: Race Entry £29.00, Virtual UK Entry £25.00, Virtual Overseas Entry £39.00. A charity entry option is available for a £10.00 entry fee plus booking charges; this requires raising at least twice the entry fee value and meeting the fundraising deadline four weeks before the event. All deposits and payments are non refundable. Entrants must be aged 18 or over and accept the organiser’s terms and conditions. Finishers receive the stated prize and a themed medal; virtual finishers who pay and verify their run can receive the same medal.
