The 31st Hardwick X-Stream : 18 October 2026

The Hardwick X-Stream is an off‑road cross‑country race held within Manor House Farm in the village of Hardwick, Buckinghamshire. The course follows an undulating route of approximately 6 miles and uses varied terrain including grassland, ploughed fields, farm track, streams and ditches. Water crossings are part of the route and stream depth can vary with weather, so clothing may get wet. The course is clearly marked and marshalled and is suitable for spikes.

Entries are limited to 300 runners and a minimum age of 17 years applies on the day of the event. Entry fees vary by date and category. Refunds, transfers and deferrals are not permitted except that a full refund will be issued automatically if the organiser cancels the event or the event is cancelled for reasons beyond organiser control. The event holds an EA Cross Country licence; permit approval is noted and the licence number is pending confirmation.

Facilities are weather dependent. Parking is available adjacent to the start/finish but very limited; car sharing is requested. Portable toilets and limited changing facilities are available in the village hall; there are no showers. Water will be provided at the finish and hot drinks and food will be available in the village hall. First aid cover will be provided and runners are advised to check tetanus inoculation status. Participation is at the runner’s own risk.

All finishers receive a memento. Prizes are awarded across male and female categories, specified age groups, and to first male and first female teams. Team entries require affiliation and a URN and consist of a minimum of four runners. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
