Trail Running calendar near Holdgate 2026-2027

Tackle the Baslow Bolt, a scenic yet testing 13 km Peak District fell race with 400 m of climb. On 28 Nov 2026 at St Anne's Church, this community fundraiser finishes with cake and refreshments.

A timed multi-lap run along the River Mersey at Chorlton Water Park featuring 5.3 km laps, a 7 hour limit, a bespoke finisher's medal and a handmade knitted bee, with £2 from each entry donated to Ray's of Sunshine Children's Charity.

Two trail distances on 28 November 2026 around Machen, featuring wooded single track, ridgeway exposure and steep climbs. The half course is fully marked while the marathon requires self navigation with marshals at key points.

A short Peak District fell race in Birch Vale on 29 November 2026, covering 8.4 km with 335 m of climb. Entry is on the day with registration at the Sycamore Inn and a 125 runner limit.

The final race of the 2026 RTT Series takes place in Afan Forest with separate 5 km and 10 km routes from Bryn Bettws Lodge. The event features chip timing, finisher medals, marked and marshalled routes and water stations.

A fell time trial from Little Stretton to the Stiperstones that requires navigational skills and benefits from local knowledge. Entry is on the day with fees of £8 for adults and £2 for juniors under 17.

Trail races at Carsington Water on 5 December 2026 feature a half marathon and a 10k around the reservoir on marked undulating trails with marshals and an event village.

Trail races at Alyn Waters on 5 December 2026 include 5 km, 10 km and a canicross 5 km plus a free children's 1 km dash. Courses are fully marked and marshalled, chip timed and finishers receive a medal.

A lapped running event at Burrs Country Park with a 3.28 mile lap and a seven hour time limit. The first 50 entrants receive a limited edition yellow soft toy and one pound per entry is donated to The Sunnywood Project.

A new festive trail run on 5 December 2026 from Bakewell Station offering 10k, 5k and a Junior Run on traffic free, undulating multi terrain through Peak District scenery with medals, photos and prizes.

A 14.5 km fell race with 793 m of ascent around Cardington near Church Stretton, partially marked and requiring navigational skills and full FRA kit. Entry is online only with 180 places and parking is limited.
