Partridge in a Pear Tree

The Partridge in a Pear Tree is one day in a 12 Days of Christmas race series held at Pengethley Manor in Ross on Wye. Entrants choose their target distance from a set of options and have seven hours to complete that distance.

The course is off road and runs within the grounds of Pengethley Manor. The route includes a hill on each lap and a sequence of ups and downs that pass through two vineyards. The organisers describe the course as very tough. The event is suitable for walkers and runners.

Entry options include in person race entry and virtual entries. Listed fees are Race Entry £29.00, Virtual UK Entry £25.00 and Virtual Overseas Entry £39.00. A free virtual participation option is available through the organisers Strava club but only paid entrants receive medals. Race bibs are collected at registration and virtual bibs are emailed after entry.

There is a charity entry option for a reduced fee of £10.00 which requires raising at least twice the entry fee for the nominated charity and meeting fundraising deadlines. A point to point 57 mile ultra along the Severn Way from Worcester to Stonehouse, passing Upton-on-Severn, Tewkesbury and Gloucester. Four checkpoints offer vegan and gluten free options, finishers receive a bespoke medal and a head visor.

Experience a self navigation trail challenge through the Brecon Beacons National Park with distances ranging from 13 to 50 miles. Enjoy full support and mountain landmarks on a course featuring over 11000 feet of elevation.

Circular routes from 10 to 40 miles start in Hallow and run through 12 local parishes, mainly off road on public footpaths. Checkpoints provide drinks and snacks and entry fees include refreshments, a hot meal and a completion certificate.
