Trail Running calendar near Greenfield 2025-2026

Tackle the wild Shropshire Hills at Carding Mill Valley with scenic 13.1 mile and 26.2 mile trail races through the Long Mynd. Well marked routes, aid stations and marshals make this a classic, challenging day out for trail runners.

Join the Longshaw Sheepdog Trial Fell Race on Sat 5 Sep 2026 for a scenic Peak District challenge alongside the sheepdog trials. The 7.1 km course climbs 236 m, is pre entry only and capped at about 200 runners, with trials entry included.

Join the classic Burnsall Fell Race in the Yorkshire Dales for a short but fierce hill test, with a steep climb to a cairn and a thrilling edge descent. Entry on the day for seniors is £5.

The Exterminator is a classic 17 mile fell race organised by Totley AC that tests navigation and stamina across moorland, woods and villages. Expect steep climbs, self navigation and a friendly club atmosphere for adventurous runners.

Take on the Stretton Skyline, a scenic yet demanding 30.5 km fell race around Church Stretton with 1357 m of climb and panoramic Shropshire Hills views. Pre entry only, finishers enjoy a tasty goody bag.

The Montane Dragon's Back Race will take place in Conwy from Monday 7 September 2026 to Friday 11 September 2026.

Enjoy a Peak District fell race at Oxspring Playing Field, a punchy 6.2 km course with 190 m of ascent through scenic terrain. On the day entries welcome for a modest fee and the event is part of an eight race series.

Run the Robin Hood 100 miles ultra from Retford, a scenic trail course that follows canal towpaths and winds through Sherwood Forest. Expect runnable trails, iconic Major Oak views, staffed aid stations and a friendly atmosphere.

Ultra X England is trail running from Edale in the Peak District with six distances from a 12 km Dash to a 110 km two day challenge. Aid stations, camping options and UTMB Index status for select races make it ideal for adventurous runners.

Tackle the Nine Edges Endurance on Sat 12 Sep 2026 in the Peak District, a challenging 20.4 mile fell race with stunning ridge scenery and big climbs. Pre entry required; proceeds support Edale Mountain Rescue.

Take on the Bradley Fell Race in Bradley Village near Skipton on Sunday 13 September 2026, a punchy 3.5 mile route climbing about 230 m up to scenic Bradley moor. Friendly club atmosphere with junior races and affordable entry on the day.

Run the Derbyshire Dales Trail from Bakewell Showground with 9 km, 15 km or 22 km routes along the Monsal Trail by the River Derwent. Scenic Chatsworth House views, supportive marshals and a lively finish await.

Tackle classic Lake District mountain navigation in mid September with three tough courses from 15 km to 29 km and hefty climbs. Applicants are vetted for fell running experience and pre entry is required; pairs welcome on the short course.
