Trail Running calendar near Gateshead 2026-2027

The classic Sedbergh Fell Race ascends Winder, offering a short but steep 3.5 km course with 340 meters of climb. It is a BOFRA championship event with dedicated junior races. The race starts from The Showfield in Sedbergh.

Old County Tops is a Lake District fell race at New Dungeon Ghyll in Great Langdale on 16 May 2026. Expect a long, demanding 59 km mountain course with 3050 m of climb, raced in pairs for a thrilling test of endurance and navigation.

Run Nidderdale is a 10 km trail race at Nidderdale Showground on 23 May 2026, following a well-marked route through woodland, moorland and the Nidderdale Way. Two thirds of proceeds are donated to the event charities.
