This is a 7-hour timed running event organised by Saturn Running on Sunday 30 August 2026 at Durham Amateur Rowing Club, Green Ln, Old Elvet, Durham DH1 3JU. Entry is limited to 300 participants and entries close on 29/08/2026. Minimum age to enter is 12 years. Runners may walk if they choose. Entry categories listed are affiliated and unattached, with stated fees. Transfers are permitted online for a fee of £2.50 up to the day before the event; a deferral to another event is available for a one-off fee of £18. Final race instructions are issued by email before the event and numbers are collected on the day.

Course, distances and facilities

The course is a fully signed trail along the River Wear with views of Durham Cathedral. A lap measures 4.37 miles (approximately 7 km) but may change to a 3.28 mile loop depending on course conditions. A 3 km turn point and a 5 km turn point are provided within the lap to allow compliance with age-based distance rules. Anyone running over 45 km must be 20 years or older; 18 and 19 year olds may run up to 45 km.

Facilities at the race HQ include toilets and changing, an unattended bag area, aid and drinks tables each lap, finish goody bags with a vegan option, medals and distance pins for half-marathon and above.
