Lakeland Trails in Keswick is a trail race day based at Fitz Park with circuit courses on marked and marshalled footpaths and bridleways around Derwentwater. The routes take in panoramic views of Derwentwater and the surrounding peaks of Skiddaw, Blencathra and the northern fells. Underfoot conditions are mainly hard packed trails with occasional muddy sections; the course has no stiles and includes terrain such as the Bottomless Bogs of the Glenderaterra Valley.

Entry and race rules are specific to each distance. The 5k is open to those aged over 12 and has no time limit. The 10k requires entrants to be at least 16 years old and has a 2 hour time limit. The 15k Race and Challenge require entrants to be at least 18; the Challenge has a longer time limit and a cut off at 4.8k. Earlybird prices apply to the first 250 places and club members may receive an additional discount.
The event village includes live music, race commentary, local food and drink stalls, merchandise and event photography. Water stations are limited so runners are asked to bring a reusable cup or carry water. Dogs are not permitted on the course.
