Lakeland Trails Keswick

Event overview

Lakeland Trails in Keswick is a trail running event based at Fitz Park, Keswick. The routes are circuits on well marked and marshalled footpaths and bridleways around Derwentwater, with views of Skiddaw, Blencathra and the northern fells. The courses have no stiles and include a mix of hard-packed trails and occasional muddy sections. Live music, race commentary, food stalls and event merchandise are present at the start and finish areas.

Distances

• 5k - for ages 12+, entry £13.50 (U16 £10)
• 10k - for ages 16+, entry £28.50 (U25 £15); time limit 2 hours
• 15k Challenge - for ages 18+, entry £28.50 (U25 £15); time limit 3.5 hours
• 15k Race - for ages 18+, entry £28.50 (U25 £15); time limit 2 hours

Limited earlybird discounted places are available for the first 250 entries; club members may save an additional 10%.

Logistics and safety

Race numbers must be collected on race day at least 45 minutes before a participant’s start time and must be worn horizontally for timing. Parking is available at Keswick School (CA12 5QB) with a fee for cars and vans; vehicles with four or more occupants park free. The car park is about 1 km from the event centre (Fitz Park CA12 4NF). There will be one water station on the 15k (around 11k) and one on the 10k (around 6k); participants should bring a reusable cup or carry water. Advanced life support medics and radio communications will be in attendance. In-ear and over-ear headphones are not permitted; bone conduction devices are allowed. Dogs are not permitted on the course.

Results and prizes

Live results will be published online. Prizes for the 10k and 15k Race categories are awarded to top finishers in Open and specified Veteran age groups; some early or Challenge starts are not eligible for prizes. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
