Course Details

All courses are circuits on well-marked and marshalled footpaths and bridleways around Fitz Park. The routes take in panoramic views of Derwentwater and the surrounding fells. Underfoot conditions are a mix of hard-packed trails and muddy sections. The courses contain no stiles but do feature hilly terrain. There are sections on private land and some road sections where runners should stay alert.

Event Information

Parking is available at Keswick School for a fee, with free parking for cars with four or more occupants. The car park is approximately 1km from the event start. Public transport options are available. Race numbers must be collected on the day at least 45 minutes before the start time. In-ear or over-ear headphones are not permitted, but bone-conducting headphones are allowed. There are water stations on the 10K and 15K courses, but participants are asked to bring their own reusable cup. A professional photographer is on the course, and free photos are made available after the event. A children's Fun Trail takes place, with free entry for competitors' children under 12.

Amenities and Prizes

The event village includes trade stalls selling running gear and locally sourced food and drink. Portable toilets are provided. Prizes are awarded for the 10K and 15K Race categories for top finishers in open and veteran classes. Spot prizes are also given out at the prize-giving ceremony, which follows live music.
