Punk Panther Dales Dazzler in Skipton

Punk Panther Dales Dazzler is a trail running event based in Skipton that offers multiple distance options across routes that use sections of the Pennine Way and the Dales Way. The route runs west from Skipton, passes near Pinhaw Beacon, goes through Thornton in Craven, Gargrave and Malham Tarn, then on to Arncliffe, Starbotton, Kettlewell, Grassington, Burnsall and Barden Bridge before returning to Skipton via Embsay.

Elevation gain is listed by distance as 1500, 2200, 4200 and 7600 feet respectively. The event awards ITRA points and UTMB qualification points per distance. Maximum capacity is 200 entrants and minimum age is 18.

Registration takes place at St Andrew's Church, Newmarket Street, Skipton. Checkpoints are located at Clogger Lane, Gargrave, Malham Tarn, Kettlewell and Burnsall; each checkpoint supplies water, cola, energy bars and snacks including vegan and gluten free options. All ultramarathon entrants are provided with a tracker; half marathon and 20 mile entrants can hire a tracker for a fee. A kit list applies to all distances and includes items such as a waterproof jacket with taped seams, survival bag, whistle, cup, personal first aid kit, hard copy map or route description and a suitable kit bag. A head torch is required for the 50 mile course.

A short fell race in Haworth with a 4.8 km route and 100 m climb, based at the Sun Inn. Entry on the day is available and finishers receive a Cadbury's Creme Egg.

Take on the Ossy Moors Fell Race in Oswaldtwistle on Wednesday 15 April 2026. This lively 5 mile fell course with about 300 m of climb weaves Bowland trails and offers on the day entry for a friendly competitive vibe.

A 137 km trail challenge on the Pennine Bridleway with a 50 hour cut-off, indoor checkpoints, bunkroom accommodation and GPX navigation support. Entry is limited to 20 participants and total ascent is 3275 m.

A trail 5 km on a two-lap loop around Clowbridge Reservoir, the first of a three-race spring series in April; open to ages 11 and over with prizes, marshals and proceeds donated to local causes.
