Punk Panther Dales Dazzler

Punk Panther Dales Dazzler is a trail race around the market town of Skipton on Saturday 29 August 2026. The event, organised by Punk Panther Endurance Events, offers distances from a half marathon up to ultramarathon lengths and is part of a multi race series.

Distances:

  • 13 miles
  • 20 miles
  • 34 miles
  • 50 miles

The route sets off from Skipton and heads west to meet the Pennine Way near Pinhaw Beacon and Thornton in Craven, then follows the Pennine Way through Gargrave to Malham Tarn. Routes continue toward Arncliffe, join the Dales Way at Starbotton and pass through Kettlewell, Grassington and Burnsall to Barden Bridge before returning to Skipton via Embsay.

Climb values are 1500, 2200, 4200 and 7600 feet respectively. ITRA points are 1, 1, 2 and 3 for the courses and UTMB qualifiers are listed as Q20K, Q20K, Q50K and Q100K.

Checkpoints provide water, coke, energy bars and crisps plus vegan and gluten free snacks. All ultramarathon entrants receive a tracker; half marathon and 20 mile runners may hire a tracker for a fee. Trackers include an emergency button that, when used, ends the runner's race.

A mandatory kit list applies to all distances and includes items such as a suitable bag, waterproof jacket with taped seams, fluids and cup, nutrition, survival bivvy bag, whistle, hat or buff, gloves, personal first aid kit and a hard copy map or route description. Random kit checks may be carried out and non compliance can lead to disqualification.

Minimum age is 18 and maximum entrants are 200. Dogs may run subject to specific rules. Drop bags are allowed for the 50 mile course and will be transferred to the designated checkpoint. Finishers receive a medal and an event T shirt unless they opt out; hot food and hot drinks are available at the finish. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
