Punk Panther Dales Dazzler

Punk Panther Dales Dazzler is a trail running event based in Skipton that uses high ground around Wharfedale and sections of the Pennine Way and the Dales Way. The route links fell and valley paths and passes through towns and villages in the Dales.

Distances:

  • 13 miles (approximate climb 1,500 ft; ITRA 1; UTMB Q20K)
  • 20 miles (approximate climb 2,200 ft; ITRA 1; UTMB Q20K)
  • 34 miles (approximate climb 4,200 ft; ITRA 2; UTMB Q50K)
  • 50 miles (approximate climb 7,600 ft; ITRA 3; UTMB Q100K)

The course departs from Skipton and heads west to join the Pennine Way near Pinhaw Beacon, then passes Thornton in Craven, Gargrave, Malham Tarn, Arncliffe and Starbotton before following the Dales Way through Kettlewell, Grassington and Burnsall to Barden Bridge and returning to Skipton via Embsay. Routes will be taped or signed except the 50 mile route; competitors should not rely solely on tapes for navigation.

Checkpoints provide water, soft drinks, energy bars and snacks including vegan and gluten free options. All ultramarathon entrants receive a tracker; half marathon and 20 mile runners can hire a tracker for a fee. A mandatory kit list applies to all distances and random kit checks will be carried out on course. Every finisher is awarded a medal and an event T shirt unless they opt out. Run the Jack Bloor Race in Ilkley on 12 May 2026, a scenic 8.4 km challenge with 350 m of climbing through the York Dales. Entry on the day, teams welcome, small fee and all proceeds support the Jack Bloor Memorial Fund.

Trails around Constable Burton Hall feature a 5km lap and a varied 10km option across pasture, tracks and woodland with a stream crossing. Entry is limited to 200 and age restrictions apply.

Rodley Rock up n' Run is a pop up summer event on 14 May 2026 with 5 km and 10 km races behind the Rodley Barge Pub. Entry can be paid online or on the day; runners receive a jumble medal and a soft drink.

Skipton Skedaddle is a trail event from Skipton with distances from 14 to 52.4 miles, visiting Malham Tarn and Gordale Scar. Ultramarathon entrants receive trackers and checkpoints offer food with vegan and gluten free options.
