The Grasmere Senior Guides Race is a fell running event held in the Lake District at The Showfield, Stock Lane, Grasmere, LA22 9SL (grid reference NY 33863 07309). The event is listed in category AS and notes skill level PM.

The senior course is a short fell route of 2.5 km / 1.6 miles with 270 m / 886 ft of climb. The published minimum age for senior competitors is 17. Junior races are included on the programme with age groups U9 (6 and over), U12, U14 and U17; junior age limits are determined on the day.

Entry is available on the day; there is no pre-entry. Entry on the day carries a fee of £0.00 for race registration, and attendees pay admission to the Showfield before registering on site. Team entries are not permitted.

The event operates with a permit and holds associated UK Athletics insurance through the FRA. Cash prizes totalling £875 are allocated for the senior race, with an additional £500 available as a bonus for breaking the male or female course record. A midweek fell race on Howgills terrain, the senior course is about 13 km with 914 m ascent, run to FRA AM rules with mandatory kit and safety cut-offs; proceeds support local community groups and mountain rescue.

A 7.5 km fell race from Stonethwaite to Dock Tarn and back with 430 m of climb, marshalled sections and a flagged SSSI stretch. Entries are on the day with an £8 fee and FRA kit is advised.

Three trail routes start from The Barn in Kirkby Lonsdale, using local footpaths and river paths with refreshments, GPX support for longer routes, and entry fees from £10. Entries run 23 December 2025 to 15 June 2026.

A 65 km loop from the centre of Kirkby Lonsdale with 2000 m of ascent, mainly on footpaths and bridleways. Self-navigation is required, there are two checkpoints, and finishers receive food and a beer.
