Saturn Running stages the GNR & Time Turner 2026 in Durham on Sunday 30 August 2026. The race HQ is at Durham Amateur Rowing Club, Green Lane, Old Elvet, Durham DH1 3JU. The event is a 7 hour Time Challenge that lets participants choose how many laps to run, with a minimum distance of 3 km. Walkers are welcome.

The advertised entry price of £17.00 is available only to members. Members are guaranteed entry and receive a mini-me medal pin at every event they attend.

Course, distances and facilities

The course is a signed trail along the River Wear with views of the Cathedral. A 3k and a 5k turn point are on the lap to allow compliance with UK Athletics age rules. Toilets and changing facilities are available at race HQ. A bag drop is provided but is not staffed and items are left at the participant's own risk. There is nearby free on-street parking or pay-and-display city centre parking. Headphones are allowed. An aid table and drinks table are provided at the start/finish of each lap, offering drinks and snacks with vegan options. Finishers who complete at least 3 km receive a themed medal; distance pins are provided for half-marathon distance and above.
