The GNR & Time Turner 2026 is a Time Challenge running event organised by Saturn Running on 30 August 2026 at Durham Amateur Rowing Club, Green Lane, Old Elvet, Durham DH1 3JU. The event runs for seven hours and allows participants to choose how many laps or kilometres they complete. A member-only entry price of £17 is available; standard entry prices range from £18 to £29 depending on distance.

Course, distances and logistics

The course is a signed trail loop along the River Wear with views of Durham Cathedral. A full lap is listed as 7 km (4.37 miles) but may change to a 3.28 mile loop depending on course conditions. There are internal 3 km and 5 km turn points to meet age-distance rules. Completion of 3 km qualifies as an official finish and earns a medal; distance pins are awarded for half-marathon distance and above (Half-Marathon, Mega-Half, Marathon, 50 km and Ultra).

Facilities include toilets, changing areas, an unstaffed bag drop near the start/finish (items left at participant risk), aid and drinks tables at the start/finish of each lap with vegan options, and nearby free on-street or pay-and-display parking.
