A self navigated 50 km event from Grassington with 1260 m ascent, passing Malham Tarn and Buckden Pike. The largely unmarked route uses trails and moorland and requires navigation skills and fell experience.

Rip n Run XL in Wadsworth offers a 40 mile route with 5,800 ft elevation and an 80 mile double option with 28 hours to finish. Four checkpoints, indoor facilities at two stops, and hot food at HQ support runners.

UKA British Fell and Hill Relays take place on Saturday 17 October 2026, hosted by Todmorden Harriers at Todmorden Cricket Club and Centre Vale Park. Event details are being finalised and will be added when available.

Multi-distance running event in Knaresborough with 10k (ish), half, 20-mile, marathon and ultra options on a 6.5-mile loop through parkland and a converted rail track. Feed stations, finisher medal and post-race refreshments are provided.

Two trail races from Shotley Bridge, County Durham, with a **25 km** course and a **53 km** ultra that passes reservoirs, moorland and woods. The 53 km route has three feed stations, mandatory safety kit and live chip timing.

A 9.1 km fell race in the North York Moors at Sutton Bank Visitor Centre on 18 Oct 2026, with about 250 m of climb. Pre-entry only, teams allowed, minimum age 18.

Two trail races at Danby Lodge on 18 October 2026, offering 10 km and 5 km loops with a 150 runner limit. Entries close 1 October or when full and fees differ for affiliated and unaffiliated runners.

A Halloween-themed fun run at Thorpe Farm Centre on 18th October with adult and child distances, a costume contest and finish-line refreshments. A £2 entry fee on the door supports the Upper Teesdale Agricultural Suport Service.

A multi-distance trail event along the Nidderdale Way visiting Ripley Castle, Brimham Rocks, Scar House Reservoir and How Stean Gorge. Distances range from 13 to 55 miles, trackers are supplied and a mandatory kit list is enforced.

A trail running event at Ravenscar on 24 October 2026 offering 10K, half marathon, marathon and ultra distances within the National Park. Routes run on moorland and grassland with marked courses and electronic timing.

The Nidderdale Way Ultramarathon will take place in Pateley Bridge on Saturday 24 October 2026.

A 38 mile trail ultramarathon with a relay option held in association with the Jedburgh Running Festival. The event on 24 October 2026 is presented as LGBTIQ+ and nonbinary friendly, with entries opening 1 March 2026 at 8pm.

A backyard ultra in Gisburn Forest where runners complete a fully off road loop each hour until one person remains. Field capped at 200 with prizes for top finishers and an extra award for anyone exceeding 100 mile.

Cross the Lake District from north to south on this 54 mile ultra along the Cumbria Way. This supported race features over 2600 meters of ascent and offers live GPS tracking for all participants.

Run the Bronte Way fell race through the South/West Pennines, a scenic 12 km point to point with 351 m of climb. Pre entry only with limited bus support and a warming soup and roll at the finish make this a classic autumn challenge.
